News: The Knicks announced Wednesday that forward Rasheed Wallace has decided to retire. Wallace played in 21 games this season with the Knicks but had missed most of the season with a stress fracture in his right foot. Wallace returned to the floor Monday against the Bobcats for the first time since Dec. 13 but played just four minutes due to foot soreness. The Knicks had hoped to have Wallace, 38, back for the playoffs. "Rasheed has given this team everything he had," Knicks coach Mike Woodson said in a statement provided by the team. "He is a winner, true professional and leader on and off the court. Due to his injury, he will not be available to play for us during the playoffs."
Analysis: A first-round draft pick in 1995 Wallace played 15 seasons in the NBA and won a title with the Pistons in 2004. He had minimal Fantasy relevance this season and should no longer be on rosters going forward.
News: ESPN reports that Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace is out for Wednesday's game against Atlanta. The report says Wallace will not play due to lingering soreness in his left foot, and coach Mike Woodson is not sure of his availability for Game 1 of the playoffs Saturday.
Analysis: Wallace just returned Monday after being out since February following foot surgery. Keep an eye on his recovery heading into the playoffs, but Wallace has minimal Fantasy value when healthy.
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was forced to leave Monday's contest against the Bobcats with a sore left foot. Wallace, who has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on his left foot back in February, finished with two points prior to leaving the contest.
Analysis: Wallace tried to get back on the court Monday, but only logged four minutes before aggravating his previous injury. The 38-year-old has only appeared in 20 games this season due to injuries, so owners should plan on ignoring him in all formats moving forward.
News: Knicks power forward Rasheed Wallace (foot) is active for New York Monday at Charlotte. Wallace should see some run against the Bobcats, Newsday reports.
Analysis: Wallace may see around 10 minutes of playing time, but it won't be significant or bring him much Fantasy value. Wallace has little value at this time and can be avoided in most formats.
News: Knicks power forward Rasheed Wallace (foot) could play Monday against Charlotte, reports the New York Post Sunday. Wallace, who had surgery in February, is ahead of schedule. He was on the court running Sunday and could make a cameo against the Bobcats.
Analysis: Even if Wallace does return Monday, it won't be with significant minutes. He won't contribute until the playoffs, at least, and Fantasy owners should not be waiting for his return at this point. Wallace has no Fantasy value going forward. Ignore him in all leagues even when healthy.
News:Newsday reports that Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace, who is rehabbing from surgery on his left foot and hasn't played since Dec. 13, shot around in the morning before Tuesday's game and again in the pregame. Coach Mike Woodson said "hopefully next week" Wallace will start running and hasn't ruled out Wallace being ready for the playoffs.
Analysis: Wallace has no Fantasy value going forward. Ignore him in all leagues even when healthy.
News: The New York Post reports that Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace had his left boot removed a few days ago, at the four-week mark of his foot surgery and he is also off crutches. By the timetable, Wallace could be back in a month and is traveling with the team. He might be able to return in the playoffs.
Analysis: Wallace has no Fantasy value in standard leagues. Ignore him in all formats for the rest of the regular season.
News: The New York Daily News reports that Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace will have surgery to repair his fractured left foot and will miss the remainder of the season. Wallace has been sidelined since mid December, and the Knicks announced on Wednesday that X-rays "showed progression to a fractured left fifth metatarsal, otherwise known as a Jones fracture." Surgery is scheduled for this week and according to the club recovery time is approximately eight weeks. The surgery could mean the end of Wallace's career. The 38-year-old forward was convinced by coach Mike Woodson into returning to the league after Wallace sat out the previous two seasons. Woodson did tell NBA.com that he hopes Wallace can play in the playoffs, so they do not plan on waiving him to open a roster spot.
Analysis: Wallace had minimal Fantasy value when healthy so it's safe to release him in all leagues. If his career is over he will finish career stats of 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 16 years with Washington, Portland, Detroit, Boston and the Knicks.
News: New York power forward Rasheed Wallace (foot) went through portions of practice on Saturday, reports ESPN. That said, Wallace remains "a ways away" from playing in games for the Knicks.
Analysis: Wallace has been out since Dec. 13 as he's been dealing with a stress reaction in his foot. The 38-year-old served as a quality defensive presence for the Knicks when healthy and registered 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game. However, he is not expected to receive much playing time once he return and was averaging just 14.6 minutes before the injury. He is a marginal Fantasy option at this point.
News: For the first time this season, the Knicks had all 15 players on the roster together as center Marcus Camby and forward Rasheed Wallace returned to practice Tuesday, MSG Network reports. Both players have been nursing foot injuries and are hoping to return by the end of the month.
Analysis: Wallace has not appeared in a game since Dec. 13 as he has been plagued by a stress reaction in his foot.
News: The New York Daily News reports Knicks coach Mike Woodson said he is hopeful forward Rasheed Wallace (foot) will return to practice next week.
Analysis: Wallace hasn't played in a game since mid-December. The Knicks have been cautious with Wallace because they don't want the stress reaction in his foot to develop into a more severe injury. Woodson has been hopeful of Wallace practicing before, so it's not time to get overly excited just yet. Even when Wallace returns, he's far more important to the Knicks than Fantasy owners, so he has marginal appeal.
News: Knicks coach Mike Woodson told reporters that he is hopeful that forward Rasheed Wallace (foot) will be able to return sometime after the All-Star break. Wallace, who has been dealing with a stress reaction in his foot, has been sidelined since Dec. 15 with his injury.
Analysis: There were reports swirling around a few weeks ago that Wallace's injury would end his season, but he apparently will try to return sometime following the All-Star break. However, that shouldn't matter much to Fantasy owners as the veteran had a very limited role prior to his injury. With season averages of 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds, Wallace continue to be ignored in all formats moving forward.
News: Knicks coach Mike Woodson said Sunday that power forward Rasheed Wallace "hopefully" will practice in the upcoming week, reports NBA.com. Wallace has been out for seven weeks with a stress reaction in his foot. There have been reports that he could be done for the year.
Analysis: Wallace has played in just 20 games so far this season and this foot issue appears to be more serious than first thought. Owners will want to keep an eye on the situation going forward to see exactly how long the 38-year-old will remain sidelined. Wallace had minimal appeal in Fantasy even when healthy so owners in the deepest of formats should be the only ones stashing him away at this point.
News: ESPN.com reported on Wednesday that the Knicks are worried forward Rasheed Wallace could miss an extended period of time with a lingering foot injury, and possibly the rest of the season. Wallace has been out since Dec. 15 due to a stress reaction in his left foot. "He'll be back -- but when, I don't know. We're gradually trying to get him back where he can run again so he can get back in a uniform. But when, we don't know when yet," coach Mike Woodson said.

News: ESPN reports Knicks coach Mike Woodson said Wednesday he is hopeful forward Rasheed Wallace, who has missed the last 11 games with a foot injury, will start running on the court next week. The New York Post reported Wednesday that Wallace will be out at least another week due to the injury.
Analysis: It seems there is a very good chance Wallace is going to miss several more games before returning to action. However, his absence is more impactful for the Knicks than Fantasy owners. Wallace continues to have marginal Fantasy appeal when healthy.
News: New York forward Rasheed Wallace could not return for Monday's game against Boston as he continues to deal with a lingering foot injury, NBA.com reports. Wallace has missed the past 11 games with a stress reaction in his left foot and there is no clear timetable for his return.
Analysis: The Knicks have been adamant Wallace did not suffer a fractured foot, but he will stay parked on the bench for another game. At 38, his recovery time has significantly decreased as the veteran has managed just 20 games this season. He is contributing 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game off the bench, but is not considered a worthwhile Fantasy option as long as he's sidelined indefinitely.
News: New York forward Rasheed Wallace is not available for Saturday's game against the Magic, according to coach Mike Woodson. The Orlando Sentinel reports Wallace will remain out with his left foot injury.
Analysis: The Knicks said Wallace has a stress reaction in his foot and not a fracture, but it could turn into a fracture without proper rest. Wallace is averaging 7.2 points per game as a bench option for New York in 2012-13. He is mostly a defensive presence for New York and doesn't contribute enough on a nightly basis to be a viable Fantasy option when healthy.
News: The New York Post reports Knicks coach Mike Woodson said forward Rasheed Wallace will miss the next two games because of a sore left foot, which has already kept the veteran sidelined nine straight games. Wallace will sit out Thursday vs. San Antonio and Saturday at Orlando.

News: New York power forward Rasheed Wallace remains day to day with his foot injury, reports the team's official site. Wallace could not play Tuesday against Portland.
Analysis: Wallace is dealing with an acute stress reaction in his left foot and we're still not sure he's going to be back anytime soon. We'll continue to keep an eye on his progress in the coming days. He has marginal Fantasy value in deeper formats when healthy.
News: Knicks power forward Rasheed Wallace may not return so fast from his acute stress reaction and chronic left foot condition, reports the New York Post Monday. Wallace is listed as day to day, but his injury is being treated conservatively. Still day-to-day, coach Mike Woodson said. Hell make the [West Coast] trip, but hes day-to-day. Wallace has missed the last four games.
Analysis: The Knicks are unfortunately referring to Wallace's injury as a day-to-day thing and that is not good news. He could miss one game or 10 and there really is no way of knowing unless the team clarifies the situation. We'll continue to keep an eye on his progress in the coming days. He has marginal Fantasy value in deeper formats when healthy.
News: Knicks power forward Rasheed Wallace sat out Sunday's contest at home against the Timberwolves as he continues to recover from a stress reaction in his left foot. Wallace has missed his last three games with the injury and is listed as day to day with the injury.
Analysis: The good sign for the Knicks is that there's no sign of a fracture. But this injury typically takes up to 4-6 weeks to recover from. He originally sat out for the first time this season on Nov. 23 with the injury, so he may be getting close to 100 percent. He was able to take his boot out and shoot around a bit before the game, which is also an encouraging sign moving forward. We'll continue to keep an eye on his progress in the coming days. He has marginal Fantasy value in deeper formats when healthy.
News: New York power forward Rasheed Wallace has a stress reaction in his foot, reports Newsday. Apparently, Wallace does not have a fracture. The Knicks are calling him day to day.
Analysis: Wallace is labeled day to day but somehow we feel he's going to miss a little more time than that. Wallace, regardless, has low-end Fantasy value in all leagues, when healthy.
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was ruled out for Friday"s contest against the Bulls as he continues to nurse a left foot injury. Wallace has now missed two consecutive games with his issue and was spotted wearing a walking boot earlier in the week. The New York Daily News reports Wallace is dealing with a stress fracture in his foot.
Analysis: There is no timetable listed for Wallace's return but we are assuming he is day to day at this point. While the veteran has had his moments this season, his production has been inconsistent for the most part. Wallace should not be active in most Fantasy leagues at this point in the season healthy or not.
News: New York power forward Rasheed Wallace was held out of Wednesday's contest against the Nets due to a sore left foot. Wallace was spotted wearing a walking boot earlier in the week and needs more time on the shelf. "His foot is bothering him and its kind of day-to-day . Were rehabbing him and Im not going to rush him back. He was trying to play and he couldnt play. We gotta get him where hes consistently on the floor," coach Mike Woodson told the team's official website.
Analysis: Wallace was a pleasant surprise for the first month of the season as he posted 7.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. But his production has taken a slight dip this month, likely as a result of the lingering foot issue, and those totals have slipped to 6.0 points and 3.5 rebounds. At 38, he doesn't exactly have the quick ability to return to full strength and is not viewed as a worthwhile option in most Fantasy formats at this point.
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was ruled out for Monday's game against Houston due to a troublesome foot injury, Newsday reports. Wallace has now missed three of the past five games with a sore left foot, and continues to be considered day to day for now.

News: The New York Post is reporting that Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace will sit out Saturday's contest against the Cavaliers as he continues to deal with a lingering sore left foot injury. According to the report, he is listed as day to day.
Analysis: Wallace has now missed two of his last four games with the issue, and will use the time off to rest for Monday's game against the Rockets. We'll continue to keep an eye on his progress moving forward. At 38, Wallace has limited Fantasy value and may need to sit out some games every now and then to stay fresh. Consider him as a low-end reserve option in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace returned to action for Tuesday's game at Brooklyn after missing the team's previous game with a sore left foot. Wallace said he "aggravated an old injury" during a game last week that forced him to the bench for Sunday's contest against Denver. "Im good money," Wallace told the New York Post. "It hurt me the other day." Wallace scored eight points on 3 of 7 shooting with two 3-pointers in the win over the Nets. He grabbed five rebounds and blocked two shots.
Analysis: With Amar'e Stoudemire still sidelined while recovering from knee surgery, Wallace has been a key contributor off the bench for the Knicks during his first season since the 2009-10 campaign. He entered Tuesday's game averaging a decent 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds a night while logging more than 15 minutes in nine outings. But he remains a limited Fantasy option and is viewed as a low-end reserve in deeper formats.
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was ruled out of Sunday's contest against the Nuggets due to a sore left foot injury. Wallace is listed as day to day.
Analysis: Like Marcus Camby, Wallace may be dealing with a plantar fasciitis issue, so we'll continue to monitor his status in the coming days. He has been averaging just over 12 minutes on the floor through his last five games and has gone 14 of 50 shooting from the field in his last seven games, including 6 of 25 from beyond the arc over that stretch. The 38-year-old is a threat from the perimeter but has shot under 40 percent this season, which gives him marginal Fantasy value when healthy.
News: Just 85 seconds after checking in for Carmelo Anthony in the first quarter, Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was tossed during Sunday's contest against the Suns. Wallace received a technical foul early on. Following Goran Dragic's missed technical free throw, the 38-year-old yelled out, "Ball don't lie," which lead to his second second technical and an ejection.
Analysis: Wallace is notorious for bantering with officials and overreacting to their calls, so this is nothing new for Fantasy owners who had him in the past. The veteran is averaging 7.7 points per game while shooting nearly 40 percent from the field. He is also hitting just over 31 percent of his 3-pointers this season and should be considered as a low-end reserve option heading into Week 6 (Dec. 3-9).
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was able to return to the floor Sunday against the Pistons, after missing the teams previous game with a foot injury. Wallace played 22 minutes off the bench, scoring 15 points on 5 for 10 shooting. He made three three-pointers in the game, while grabbing on rebound, one steal and one block. He eventually fouled out in a 121-100 win.
Analysis: After taking two full seasons off, Wallace has been surprisingly competent this season. The 38-year-old is averaging 8.2 points per game on 44.2 percent shooting, while making 32.4 percent of his three-pointers. He is adding 1.0 blocks and 4.1 rebounds per game. At this point, Wallace can be worth adding in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace was forced to missed Fridays game in Houston, as he suffered a sore left foot prior to game time. He is being considered day to day with the injury.
Analysis: Wallace has been shockingly competent in his return to the NBA, scoring 7.5 points in just 14.4 minutes per game. He is shooting too many three-pointers (3.2 per game at just 28.1 percent), but he has been surprisingly productive overall. Fantasy owners should still consider him just a low-end reserve option, when healthy.
News: Knicks power forward Rasheed Wallace logged in a season-high 24 minutes off the bench against the Grizzlies Friday night. Wallace scored 13 points and hauled in six rebounds in a 105-95 defeat. He shot 6 of 10 from the floor and missed all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. Wallace also chipped in with three blocks, one assist and a steal.
Analysis: Wallace has done a great job working his way into the rotation and has seen a slight bump in his playing time as of late. He has played at least 14 minutes in his last five games and has scored in double figures three times in that span. The 38-year-old veteran has averaged seven points and 3.3 rebounds through the team's first seven games this season. Wallace has been a pleasant surprise for the Knicks early on and could be worth a flier in deeper formats for now.
News: New York power forward Rasheed Wallace only saw 14 minutes off the bench in Monday's win over the 76ers. That said, Wallace played well with 10 points on 4 of 9 from the field with two 3-pointers. Wallace added three rebounds and two blocks as he was active in limited minutes.
Analysis: Wallace had played a total of seven minutes in his first two games of the season. He's 3 for 7 from 3-point range thus far. While he should continue to pick up time on the floor, Wallace is only going to ever be a worthy option in the deepest of Fantasy leagues this year.
News: Forward Rasheed Wallace has not played in an NBA game since Game 7 of the NBA Finals in 2010, when he was on the losing side with the Celtics June 17. After two full seasons off, the now 38-year-old big man is attempting to return to the NBA, and he has signed a one-year, veterans minimum contract with the Knicks, according to the New York Post. He will join the team Monday and should serve as the primary back up to Amare Stoudemire, should he make it through training camp healthy.
Analysis: One of the NBAs oldest roster is not going to get any younger with this move, as Wallace becomes the teams fourth-oldest player. He should not see more than a handful of minutes per night until he proves himself worthy of more, and the Knicks have no reason to give him much responsibility at his age. He averaged 9.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game with the Celtics in his last action, and is not a recommended Fantasy option in any formats on Draft Day.
News: Forward Rasheed Wallace plans to sign with the Lakers, reports CSNNE.com Wallace, who hasn't played in NBA since Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, is expected to be used in a reserve role, according to the report. "His days as a starter in this league are gone," a league source told the website "I think he knows that, and so do the Lakers. But think about it. Of the big men that are available, is there one that's really better? And if he's gotten himself in shape, adding him becomes a huge get for them."
Analysis: There is still no word from the Lakers about the signing, but since they only have 14 players on their roster, the team would not have to waive anybody to make room for the 37-year-old. Fantasy owners should keep eye on the situation over the weekend to see when or if this move becomes official. Wallace averaged 9.0 points and 4.1 rebounds during his final season with the Celtics, so he would only have minimal Fantasy value if he did return -- especially in a reserve role.
News: Yahoo! Sports reports the Lakers could have interest in signing Rasheed Wallace if the team is unable to sign Keynon Martin, who has potential suitors in the Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Spurs, Hawks and Knicks.
Analysis: A league source said Wallace contacted the Lakers several weeks ago. Wallace retired following the 2009-10 season, but he's told friends he is interested in returning to the NBA. If Wallace does return, it's going to be interesting to see what kind of shape he is in after a long sabbatical away from competition. He will be just a bench player, so you probably could leave Wallace on Fantasy waivers until further notice.
News: Former NBA standout Rasheed Wallace is considering a return to the league, according to Yahoo Sports. Wallace, 37, last played with Boston during the 2009-10 season before retiring. He has also played with Washington, Portland, Detroit and Atlanta during his 15-year career.
Analysis: Wallace was a four-time All-Star during his time in the NBA, but clearly his best days are behind him. He could be a serviceable option at forward for a playoff contender, but his Fantasy value would likely be limited. For now, leave him untouched in all Fantasy formats.
News: NBA pundit Steven A. Smith, appearing on the Dan Patrick Show, said Tuesday that PF Rasheed Wallace, who retired after last season, will come out of retirement and return to the Celtics because he wants another shot at the Lakers in the NBA Finals.
Analysis: Wallace averaged nine points and 4.1 rebounds last season with Boston, playing just 22 minutes a contest. The Celtics would use him off the bench again as depth this season, and Fantasy owners likely won't want to get involved in this situation with the volatile 37-year-old. Continue to ignore him.
News: According to Comcast Sports Net New England, Celtics general manager Danny Ainge said Thursday that Rasheed Wallace has not told him that he is re-thinking retirement. Wallace averaged 9.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this past season with Boston.
Analysis: Wallace is suddenly more of a pressing matter for Ainge with Kendrick Perkins expected to be out until sometime in February with a knee injury. The Celtics are expected to sign Jermaine O'Neal and 'Sheed would be around merely for depth in any case. He'll be Fantasy waiver wire fodder once again in a best-case scenario.
News: The Boston Globe reports that Celtics forward Kevin Garnett, who was suspended for Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against Miami for throwing an elbow at Heat forward Quentin Richardson in Game 1, worked out with the reserves Monday instead of the starters because either Rasheed Wallace or Glen Davis will start. Rivers would not reveal who would replace Garnett. When asked if he will have words of wisdom for Wallace and Davis, Garnett said: "I just give Rasheed, who's obviously a gutty veteran, and Baby along with the other bigs some advice, my own personal insight from what I see in the game and hope that they can use it and it's useful."
Analysis: Davis and Wallace should see an increase in production with Garnett out. Look for both to play well against the Heat in Game 2, and hopefully they can use this increased playing time as motivation heading into 2010-11.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace scored only two points in Tuesday's loss to the Bulls. He shot 1 of 7 from the field, missing both of his three-point attempts, in 18 minutes. He grabbed six rebounds, recorded one assist and blocked a shot.
Analysis: The Celtics have slashed Sheed's minutes, and his production has gone south as well. He went from 30.6 minutes and 13.1 points a game in January to 19.1 and 7.6 in April. With Boston locked into the fourth seed in the Eastern conference, don't expect them to give their key players or older veterans much playing time in Wednesday's season-finale against the Bucks. Not that Wallace was much of a Fantasy option at this point of the year anyway.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace picked up a technical foul with 50 seconds left in the third quarter Sunday against Cleveland -- his 17th of the season -- and began yelling at coach Doc Rivers when the coach took him out. Wallace did not return to the game.
Analysis: Wallace lost his cool for a bit and was seen yelling at officials, teammates and then his own coach. We don't think this is a situation that will linger, however. His minutes have not been plentiful in recent games anyway, as he's averaged just 20.8 minutes in his last five games and that has led only to 9.6 points and 3.6 assists in his last five games.
News: According to the team's official Twitter feed, Celtics C Kendrick Perkins was a late scratch for Friday's game against Sacramento with a sore left knee. He is day to day and was replaced in the starting lineup by Rasheed Wallace.
Analysis: Perkins, who has been increasingly unproductive since the All-Star break, is already reserved in the majority of leagues. After getting off to a hot start this year, he's become no more than a Fantasy reserve. Don't activate him until he can prove healthy and productive again this season. That may not happen at all. Wallace is mainly just a stopgap for deeper leagues. His biggest asset to Fantasy owners these days is his three-point shot.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace shot 3 for 7 from the field and a hit a 3-pointer as he played 22 minutes in Wednesday's loss to Memphis. Wallace scored in double figures for the first time in a while as he finished with 11 points. He added six steals and three blocks.
Analysis: The blocks and steals were a revelation on Wednesday but he's simply been scoring at a very low rate for the Celtics lately. His numbers have been underwhelming of late and he's really only a recommended Fantasy start in the deeper leagues.
News: According to Comcast Sports Net New England, Celtics C Kendrick Perkins has been ruled out for Tuesday night's game in Detroit. Rasheed Wallace will start in his place. Perkins is dealing with flu-like symptoms.
Analysis: Perkins will be treated as day-to-day. The Celtics play again Wednesday night against Charlotte and could return then if he is feeling better. In the meantime, Wallace will get a nice boost in minutes and could be used as a stopgap measure in daily lineup leagues.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace came off the bench to score 17 points and grab five boards with three blocks on Tuesday in a win over the Kings. Wallace played 24 minutes off the bench and shot 5 of 9 overall with a three.
Analysis: Wallace has scored in double figures in his last two games but is only averaging 8.8 per game over his last five. His numbers have been underwhelming of late and he's really only a recommended Fantasy start in the deeper leagues.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace scored 13 points over 25 minutes on Wednesday during a loss at New Orleans. Wallace grabbed five boards, dished out three assists, picked up two steals and blocked two shots. He also hit a three.
Analysis: Wallace hasn't done much scoring of late averaging just 8.6 PPG over his last five games. His minutes have tumbled once again and he's looking like a viable option only in deeper leagues at least to start the second half of the season.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace had just two points off the bench in Sunday's game against the Magic. He is averaging just 6.6 points per game over his last five contests.
Analysis: Wallace has had his ups and down this season, which is to be expected given his role off the bench. Leave him reserved in all leagues, obviously, when he is struggling as he is right now. But an injury to Kevin Garnett or Kendrick Perkins has the possibility of making him a useful No. 2 center at some point in the future.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace scored in double figures for the second time in his last five games on Monday in a win at Washington. Wallace came off the bench for 22 minutes and went 4 of 7 from the field and 6 for 6 from the free-throw line. He added five rebounds and two blocks with a steal.
Analysis: Wallace played well on Monday but had nine points combined in the team's previous two games. He is not currently seeing consistent production and that hurts his Fantasy value. Playing around 22-25 minutes per game, Wallace only has value in deeper Fantasy leagues because of his lack of consistency.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace scored 17 points as Boston fell 96-94 to Orlando on Thursday. Wallace shot 7 of 14 from the field in 26 minutes of play including hitting 3 of 6 from downtown. He added two rebounds, three steals, and one block in the loss.
Analysis: During his last five games, Wallace has managed to scored in double figures four times despite nagging injuries. With Kevin Garnett not being overly productive in his return, Wallace has provided much needed points for the Celtics. He is still a viable No. 2 center in most Fantasy leagues for the time being.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace continues to play through nagging groin and foot injuries but once again played well on Wednesday at Detroit in a loss. Wallace scored 16 points on 5 of 13 shooting over 39 minutes. He hit two threes and grabbed seven boards. Wallace added three steals and a block in the loss.
Analysis: Wallace lost to his former team, the Pistons, Wednesday but still managed to play well despite the nagging injury issues. Wallace has been back for the last two games and was better on Wednesday than he was Monday against Dallas. That is good news as it seems safe to use him once again in the majority of Fantasy leagues for as long as Kevin Garnett is out. KG may return Friday, however, so keep that in mind.
News: The Boston Globe reports that Celtics forward/center Rasheed Wallace watched Tuesday's practice from the sidelines, recovering from a foot strain and a groin strain "which is nothing even close to severe," according to coach Doc Rivers. Wallace returned to action after a three-game absence due to a foot injury on Monday night in a loss to Dallas. Wallace played 35 minutes and shot 5 of 13 from the field and 0 for 4 from deep as he scored 11 points. Wallace added three rebounds.
Analysis: Wallace will likely play against the Pistons, but be cautious with your lineup in daily formats. His Fantasy value is about to take a hit with Kevin Garnett expected to return Friday against Portland. If Wallace plays against the Pistons then consider him a decent Fantasy option in all leagues. But once Garnett returns, Wallace will have minimal Fantasy value since he will return to his role off the bench.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace returned to action after a three-game absence due to a foot injury on Monday night in a loss to Dallas. Wallace played 35 minutes and shot 5 of 13 from the field and 0 for 4 from deep as he scored 11 points. Wallace added three rebounds.
Analysis: Wallace scored 29 points and hit five threes in his last healthy game before Monday as Kevin Garnett remains out. As long as KG is gone, Wallace will start for Boston and is a solid Fantasy option for deeper leagues.
News:Rasheed Wallace expects to return for the Celtics' next game after missing three with a foot injury. Boston's backup forward said after practicing Saturday that he'll be fine for Monday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Analysis: If Wallace is ready to go for his game against Boston on Monday, he could have Fantasy value with Kevin Garnett likely out until next Friday. Once Garnett returns, Wallace's Fantasy value could be diminished. It sounds like Wallace will be back so go ahead and expect to use him in Week 13 (Jan. 18-24), although Boston only plays three games and has poor matchups.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace did not dress and was inactive for Thursday's game against Chicago. This is the third straight game that Wallace has missed with a sore left foot. According to coach Doc Rivers, Wallace may return for Boston's next game at home against Dallas.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should keep tabs on Wallace over the weekend. If Wallace is ready to go for his game against Boston on Monday, he could have Fantasy value with Kevin Garnett likely out until next Friday. Once Garnett returns, Wallace's Fantasy value could be diminished.
News: Celtics PF Rasheed Wallace missed Wednesday night's game in New Jersey. Wallace complained of pain in his left forefoot following Sunday's game in Toronto. He sat out Monday night against the Hawks with the injury after warming up before the game and determining he was unable to play. The late scratch put Brian Scalabrine into the starting lineup. Coach Doc Rivers said Monday that Wallace was day-to-day but would likely be out about a week.
Analysis: Keep Wallace reserved in all leagues and hope he can return soon. As long as Kevin Garnett (knee) is out, Wallace will have increased value. But once Garnett returns, Wallace will return to his reserve role and limit his Fantasy value.
News: The Boston Globe reports Celtics forward Rasheed Wallace will miss Wednesday night's game in New Jersey.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace could miss "about a week," coach Doc Rivers told the Boston Globe. Wallace was scratched from Monday night's game about 30 minutes prior to tipoff due to a foot injury. "Looks like a week, maybe," said Rivers. "Its day-to-day, but I would say maybe a week. Maybe less. I think its toe, foot. Im not sure what it is"
Analysis: Rivers added that the team made Wallace undergo X-rays, but that they came back negative. Rivers says he could be out a week, but also says that he is day-to-day, so Fantasy owners should just consider him doubtful for Wednesday's game against New Jersey. It's a shame too, because Wallace's numbers were getting a boost with Kevin Garnett out.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace could not play in Monday's game against Atlanta due to a sore left foot, reports the Celtics official Twitter feed.
Analysis: This is tough news for Fantasy owners since Wallace just scored 29 points with five threes and eight rebounds on Sunday at Toronto. Wallace should see more nights like that with Kevin Garnett out for a while and you'd like to have him in your lineup. Hopefully you can remove him before lineups lock for Week 12 (Jan. 11-17). Otherwise, hope he can return shortly and reserve him in daily leagues.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a win at Toronto on Sunday. Wallace shot 9 of 12 from the field in 34 minutes as a starter. He hit 5 of 7 threes and added two blocks.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging 15.6 points per game over his last five with 6.0 boards, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks and two threes per game. With Kevin Garnett out, consider using Wallace as a No. 3 Fantasy forward and a No. 2 Fantasy center in leagues where he is eligible at both spots.
News: Celtics forward Rasheed Wallace played well Wednesday night at Miami in a 112-106 overtime victory for Boston. Wallace had 16 points, nine rebounds, two steals and a block before fouling out. He played 35 minutes and made 6 of 11 shots from the field with three three-pointers. Wallace continues to start for the injured Kevin Garnett (knee), who could be out for at least another week after missing his third game in a row Wednesday.
Analysis: This was Wallace's second-straight game with 16 points, and he continues to play well with Garnett out. He's getting extended minutes, and it's showing in his production. With Garnett out, consider using Wallace as a No. 3 Fantasy forward and a No. 2 Fantasy center in leagues where he is eligible at both spots.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace scored five points before being ejected for receiving two technical fouls in a loss to the 76ers on Friday night.
Analysis: Wallace has been putting up decent points in limited minutes the last couple of weeks, but he only lasted nine minutes on Friday night. He remains worth using in only the deepest of leagues as a flier option.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace had one of his better recent performances on Saturday against the Bulls. Wallace was 5 for 12 from the field, adding five rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging 11 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists over his past five games. He has not had a double-digit rebound game since Nov. 20 against Orlando and is no longer a high-end Fantasy option. He is at best a stopgap center option at this point in his career.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace scored 15 points on Friday in a win over Toronto. He was 6 of 11 from the floor with three threes in the game. Wallace added four steals but managed just two rebounds and a block.
Analysis: Wallace either rebounds well or scores well but hasn't put the two together in a while. He can be used as a No. 2 Fantasy center but nothing more.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace had one of his better games of the season on Friday night in a loss to Orlando. Wallace scored nine points on 4 of 16 shooting but grabbed 13 rebounds in 33 minutes. He added three steals and a block.
Analysis: Wallace shot very poorly on Friday and hasn't scored in double figures since dropping 12 on Utah back on Nov. 11. The 13 rebounds were his first in double figures on the entire season. He can be used as a No. 2 Fantasy center but nothing more.
News: Boston C Rasheed Wallace came away with four steals on Saturday in a win over the Nets but managed to score only eight points on 3 for 10 shooting. It was the third straight game that Wallace has failed to reach double digits in scoring.
Analysis: Wallace is 0 for 10 from downtown in each of his past two games and has averaged eight points over the past three games. He is no longer a standout player in Fantasy as he now comes off the bench for the Celtics and is not one of the go-to scorers. He can be used as a No. 2 Fantasy center but nothing more.
News: Celtics C Rasheed Wallace had 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists off the bench in Tuesday's game at Philadelphia. He added 2 steals and 1 block while shooting 6 of 8 from beyond the arc in 24 minutes. Wallace is 15 of 33 from beyond the arc in five games.
Analysis: Wallace has been getting around 22 minutes per game off the bench and has been a real force from beyond the arc. He is getting a lot of looks from beyond the arc, taking at least five shots from three-point range in all five games and as much as eight shots in two games. He can be useful as a No. 2 center in standard formats despite his bench role.
News: Boston C Kendrick Perkins struggled as the Celtics' starting center in Tuesday's season-opening win at Cleveland. Perkins scored nine points on 4 of 7 shooting and grabbed just one rebound in over 25 minutes of action. He added one block. Newcomer Rasheed Wallace, on the other hand, was solid in 24 minutes off the bench. Wallace was 4 of 9 and 3 of 6 from three-point range to score 12 points and grab three boards with two blocks.
Analysis: Wallace had a solid preseason for the Celtics and already looks like a better scoring option than Perkins. He could see a boost in minutes the better he plays and may even get into the starting lineup at some point. For now, Wallace is a decent No. 2 Fantasy option.
News: WHDH-TV out of Boston reports that Celtics F Glen Davis suffered an injury to his right thumb when he got into a fight with a former college teammate and was defending himself. Davis is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. With Davis out, Rasheed Wallace, Shelden Williams and Brian Scalabrine should see an increase in minutes.
Analysis: Wallace had a good preseason with his new team and should be in line for good minutes off the bench, especially with Davis out until at least December. Wallace is eligible at center and could be a sleeper No. 2 option when the Celtics face good matchups. For cumulative leagues, he could be a decent No. 2 in Week 1 since the Celtics play four games.
News: The Boston Celtics have signed veteran forward Rasheed Wallace, one of this year's most coveted free agents. Boston announced the move Wednesday, the first day teams were allowed to sign free agents.
Analysis: The 35-year-old Wallace, a four-time All-Star, can play the low post and has exceptional shooting range. He averaged 12 points per game for the Pistons last year. In Boston, it is very likely he will serve as a bench player behind both Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins. However, his minutes should remain significant enough where he can average double figures in scoring with decent rebounding totals. His eligibility at the thin center position will allow him to remain a valuable starter in larger leagues that require starting two centers.
News: Two newspapers are reporting the Celtics have reached an agreement with free agent Rasheed Wallace. Bill Strickland, Wallace's agent, told the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe on Sunday night that the 34-year-old forward told him to call off meetings the agent was in the process of scheduling with the Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks.
Analysis: Wallace has averaged 15 points and 6.9 rebounds in 14 NBA seasons. He averaged 12 points and 7.4 rebounds last season.

Bill Strickland, Wallace's agent, told the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe on Sunday night that the 34-year-old forward told him to call off meetings the agent was in the process of scheduling with the Magic, Spurs and Mavericks.
Analysis: Wallace played the last six seasons with the Pistons, where he won an NBA championship in 2004. He heads to a Celtics team loaded with veterans such as Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, and hoping to make at least one more title run. Wallace has averaged 15 points and 6.9 rebounds in 14 NBA seasons. He averaged 12 points and 7.4 rebounds last season. He won't be the focal point in the offense in Boston, but will still likely be worth using as a No. 2 Fantasy center in the 2009-2010 season.
News:Rasheed Wallace was receptive to the Celtics' All-Star recruiting pitch, but will be listening to other teams before deciding his future, a person with knowledge of the discussions told CBSSports.com's Ken Berger.
Analysis: Berger reports that the pitch Thursday in Detroit, attended by Celtics players, coach Doc Rivers, president Danny Ainge, and managing partner Wyc Grousbeck, impressed Wallace and was termed "very good meeting." Contract parameters were discussed -- it is believed Wallace would get the mid-level for 2-3 years -- but Wallace wants to hear other offers. Berger notes that according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavaliers have yet to contact Wallace, indicating their lack of interest. San Antonio has expressed interest, and the Orlando Sentinel reported Friday that the Magic have contacted Wallace's agent, Bill Strickland. Wallace is likely to play a complimentary role at this stage in his career, but could still be of value as a No. 2 center in Fantasy depending on where he lands.
News: The Boston Celtics have offered forward Rasheed Wallace a contract as part of a major push to land the coveted forward. A Boston Globe report on Friday says the Celtics offered Wallace a deal during a three-hour meeting in Detroit on Thursday. Celtics stars Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce joined general manager Danny Ainge and managing partner Wyc Grousbeck at the meeting.
Analysis: Wallace's agent, Bill Strickland, tells the Globe some contractual terms were discussed, but no agreement was reached. He said Wallace will be meeting with other teams next week. Charlotte, Cleveland, Orlando and San Antonio are said to be possible suitors. The 35-year-old Wallace averaged 12 points per game last year, and would likely play a complementary role in Boston.
News: CBSSports.com's Ken Berger has learned that Celtics president Danny Ainge, apparently flanked by his Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, was expected to meet with Rasheed Wallace Thursday. Boston is the first team Wallace will meet with as he weighs his free-agent options.
Analysis: Berger adds that Wallace's camp has heard from eight or nine teams with interest in signing him, but Wallace will narrow the list down based on the teams' chances of making a deep playoff run and how he will fit in. There had been some talk earlier in the offseason that he would also consider retirement, but at this time it looks like he's looking to latch on with a contender. He'll be worth drafting as a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: According to a report, Rasheed Wallace could retire unless he gets $8 million to play next year. The website slamonline.com reports that a friend of Wallace told the site the news. Wallace will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he will be 34 when next season starts.
Analysis: Wallace continues to decline in production. He averaged 12.1 points, his lowest total since his rookie season, along with 7.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. He also hit 113 three-pointers in 66 games. Wallace's most likely suitor will be the Pistons, but it's unlikely they will pay him what he's looking for unless it's just a one-year deal. Keep an eye on what happens with Wallace, but if he does return next year as expected, he would be considered a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: Pistons center Rasheed Wallace had 11 points, nine rebounds and one assist Wednesday against Chicago. Coach Michael Curry said he hadn't decided how much he will play his rotation players in Wednesday's meaningless season finale against the Heat.
Analysis: Look for Wallace, who has missed time recently with a calf strain, to rest against the Heat. Wallace remains a No. 2 Fantasy center when healthy, and the Pistons need him at 100 percent for the playoffs.
News: Pistons center Rasheed Wallace will have a new role when he returns to the floor Saturday night against the Sixers. Pistons coach Michael Curry said Wallace, who returns after serving a one-game suspension for picking up too many technical fouls, will be a reserve, reports mlive.com. That means Kwame Brown will remain with the first unit. Prior to the suspension, Wallace had missed 11 of the 12 previous games due to a strained left calf injury. While he is moving better, Curry said he still plans to limit Wallace's minutes. "If I'm going to play Sheed limited minutes, I'd rather him be in a position where he could play in the fourth quarter," Curry said. "Coming off the bench, right now while limiting his minutes, is probably going to be (for) the best."
Analysis: Wallace is still worth using as a No. 2 Fantasy center. He can still get enough production off the bench to help your team in this role. Brown remains a low-end Fantasy option at this time.
News: Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace was suspended for the Pistons' game against the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday night for picking up his 16th technical foul of the season the previous night against Cleveland. Wallace, who returned to the lineup on Tuesday after missing 11 games with an injured left calf, was hit with a technical late in the third quarter for complaining after Tayshaun Prince was called for a foul on a play that he felt LeBron James should have been whistled for charging.
Analysis: Wallace had nine points and nine rebounds in Detroit's 79-73 loss. He was averaging 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds before being sidelined. He's no longer injured, he just sometimes has trouble not making waves for himself. Nothing new there. Wallace should remain a solid start from now until the end of the season, if he can stay on the court, that is.
News: Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace returned to action Tuesday night against the Cavaliers after missing 11 games with a calf injury. Wallace came off the bench for 27 minutes against the Cavs. He scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds with a block. He also picked up a technical, his 16th of the season. That earns him a one-game suspension by the league. He will sit out Wednesday's game at New Jersey.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds, but he was slightly limited upon his return. Fantasy owners should activate him with caution in daily leagues, but it does appear Wallace will be available for the final scoring period of the Fantasy season. View him as a No. 2 center again.
News: The Detroit Free-Press reports that the Pistons expect center Rasheed Wallace (strained left calf) to return to the lineup Tuesday night against the Cavaliers in Cleveland. Wallace has missed the past 11 games with the injury.
Analysis: It looks like Wallace will play against the Cavs, but the safe option in daily leagues is to keep him reserved. There will likely be some rust with Wallace, so give him at least one game to get back to 100 percent. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace, although nearing a return, missed Sunday's game against the 76ers with a calf injury. It was his 11th straight game missed. He's questionable for Tuesday at Cleveland.
Analysis: Wallace has been out since early March, so Fantasy owners should play it safe with him where possible. He is likely to have some rust to shake off and could return in a limited role whenever he does. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News:Rasheed Wallace missed his 10th straight game Saturday in Washington with a strained left calf. Curry said that both Wallace and Allen Iverson are nearly ready to return. The Pistons host Philadelphia on Sunday and play at Cleveland on Tuesday.
Analysis: Wallace has been out since early March, so Fantasy owners should play it safe with him where possible. He is likely to have some rust to shake off and could return in a limited role whenever he does. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: The Detroit News reports that Rasheed Wallace (calf) is unsure if he will be able to play Saturday in Washington. "I don't know. I'm going to see how it is," said Wallace.

News:Richard Hamilton (left groin), Rasheed Wallace (calf) and Allen Iverson (back) were all able to practice Friday, reports mlive.com. Coach Michael Curry said it was the first time he has had all three in practice in more than a month. Hamilton said he will definitely play against Washington Saturday night. Team officials are listing Wallace and Iverson as questionable, although Wallace's return appears more likely than Iverson. "I can't wait to get out there," Hamilton said after practice. "Today was my most fun in a long time, just being out there practicing and playing with the guys."
Analysis: It sounds like Wallace can return against the Wizards. For now, keep him reserved in daily leagues and hope he doesn't suffer any setbacks so he can return before the end of the regular season. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace was unable to play on Thursday against the Lakers as expected due to a calf injury. However, Wallace is expected to make his return by the end of the weekend and could return as early as Saturday.
Analysis: Wallace has missed nine games in a row due to the calf injury but will hopefully be an available option for the upcoming scoring period as most head-to-head leagues are already into the playoffs. Treat him as day to day, but he is likely to have to return to some kind of limited role initially having missed so much time.
News: The Detroit Free Press reports that while Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace have been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lakers, both could return this weekend. Coach Michael Curry didn't specify which game or who was closer to returning, but the Pistons are at Washington on Saturday and are back at home Sunday against Philadelphia.
Analysis: The report added that Hamilton, who will have missed six games in a row with a sore left groin after Thursday's game was on the court in the morning after the team's shootaround along with Wallace and strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander. This is Wallace's ninth straight missed game. Treat him as day to day, but he is likely to have to return to some kind of limited role initially having missed so much time.
News: The Detroit News reports that the Pistons have confirmed that Allen Iverson (back), Rasheed Wallace (calf) and Richard Hamilton (groin) will not play in Thursday's game against the Lakers.
Analysis: This is Wallace's ninth straight missed game. The longer this injury continues to linger, the less likely Wallace will return in time to matter in Fantasy leagues with the playoffs going on now in head-to-head leagues. For now, keep Wallace reserved in all formats.
News: Pistons coach Michael Curry said center Rasheed Wallace's return appears unlikely against the Lakers on Thursday. Wallace missed his eighth straight game Tuesday against Chicago with an injured calf.
Analysis: It sounds like Wallace could be out until at least Saturday at Washington. The longer this injury continues to linger, the less likely Wallace will return in time to matter in Fantasy leagues with the playoffs going on now in head-to-head leagues. For now, keep Wallace reserved in all formats and don't count on him Thursday against the Lakers.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace (calf) missed Tuesday's game at Chicago. Detroit coach Michael Curry said Monday he hopes to have Wallace back for the game against the Lakers on Thursday. Wallace missed his eighth straight game.
Analysis: Wallace has been out for an extended period of time and there is no telling when, at this point, he'll be back. For that, keep him reserved in daily leagues until Detroit gives word he's going to play. Let him come back at 100 percent and prove he is OK. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: The Detroit News reports Monday that Pistons coach Michael Curry hopes to have Rasheed Wallace (calf) back for the game against the Lakers on Thursday. Wallace missed his seventh straight game Sunday. He is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Chicago, but it doesn't sound like he will play.
Analysis: The safe option this week is to keep Wallace reserved for this scoring period. Let him come back at 100 percent and prove he is OK, especially with the doubt concerning Tuesday's game. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: As expected, Rasheed Wallace (calf) missed his seventh straight game Sunday against Miami. He remains day to day and is questionable for Tuesday's game in Chicago.
Analysis: The Detroit Free Press reported that coach Michael Curry is optimistic that Wallace could return soon. "I think now he'll probably begin to do a little more, maybe start by Monday doing some core work," Curry said of Wallace. "That would be a positive." Fantasy owners should consider him an injury risk for the upcoming scoring period during which the Pistons play four games. He could be available for three or four games this week, but may be somewhat limited upon his return.
News: The Detroit News reports that Rasheed Wallace (calf) will miss his seventh game Sunday against Miami. Wallace got another positive test on his ailing left calf muscle Saturday, but he's still not ready to play. "The test showed major improvement, so that's a positive," coach Michael Curry said. "Maybe he can start doing some court work with Arnie (Kander, physical therapist) on Monday."
Analysis: The report adds that most likely, though, Wallace will get a chance Monday to test his injury. If he can't play Tuesday in Chicago, then it seems very likely he would be ready to play the Lakers in Detroit on Thursday. He still has to be viewed as a very risky play for the upcoming scoring period, but it does help that the Pistons play four games.
News: Clippers F Rasheed Wallace missed his sixth consecutive game on Friday due to a calf injury as expected. He is questionable for Sunday's game against Miami.
Analysis: Wallace may be able to return on Sunday against the Heat but Fantasy owners shouldn't really count on it. He is a viable option when healthy but owners should wait until he is active and productive again to use him.
News: The Detroit News reports that Rasheed Wallace (calf) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the L.A. Clippers, as expected. This will be his sixth straight missed game.
Analysis: Wallace could return for Sunday's game against Miami, but Wallace will likely be less than 100 percent and isn't worth the risk at this time. Let him prove both healthy and productive again before activating him at such a critical juncture of the Fantasy hoops season.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace missed his fifth straight game with a sore left calf on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. Detroit coach Michael Curry said Wallace was also likely to miss Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Analysis: Wallace could return for Sunday's game against Miami, but Wallace will likely be less than 100 percent and isn't worth the risk at this time. Let him prove both healthy and productive again before activating him at such a critical juncture of the Fantasy hoops season.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace could not play on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks due to his lingering calf injury. He has not been running on the strained left calf injury that has sidelined him the past four games. Because of that, coach Michael Curry said he does not think Wallace will be available for the team's game at Houston on Wednesday, either.
Analysis: Wallace could return for Friday's game against the Clippers or Sunday's game against Miami, but Wallace will likely be less than 100 percent and isn't worth the risk at this time. Let him prove both healthy and productive again before activating him at such a critical juncture of the Fantasy hoops season.
News: Pistons center Rasheed Wallace has not been running on the strained left calf injury that has sidelined him the past three games. Because of that, coach Michael Curry said he does not think Wallace will be available for the team's two-game swing through Texas against Dallas and Houston this week, reports mlive.com. "He's still not able to run yet," Curry said. "I won't say that he's out for the Texas swing, but I doubt it." Earlier this season, Wallace missed four games due to a sore right foot. "At this late in the year, with a muscle injury, I won't do the same thing," Curry said. "I want to see him a couple days on that court before we put him out there in game situations."
Analysis: Keep Wallace reserved for this scoring period with the Pistons playing at Dallas on Tuesday and at Houston on Wednesday. He could return for Friday's game against the Clippers or Sunday's game against Miami, but Wallace will likely be less than 100 percent and isn't worth the risk at this time.
News:Rasheed Wallace missed his third straight game Sunday against Memphis due to a strained calf. He remains day to day, though his return is highly questionable for Tuesday's game in Dallas.
Analysis: Wallace being out now is more of a precautionary measure, with the goal being to have him as healthy as possible for the playoffs next month. "I'm in no rush," Wallace told reporters Friday. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 center in all formats, but it would appear Fantasy owners should be prepared to insert a healthier option for Week 21.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace missed his second straight game Friday in Toronto due to a strained calf injury. He is not expected to play Sunday against Memphis, coach Michael Curry said.
Analysis: Wallace being out now is more of a precautionary measure, with the goal being to have him as healthy as possible for the playoffs next month. "I'm in no rush," Wallace told reporters prior to Detroit's morning shootaround. "I'm taking it day-to-day." When asked whether he was going to play on Sunday, Wallace said, "we'll see how it works out." Jason Maxiell, who started in place of Wallace against New York on Wednesday, is starting while he is out. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 center in all formats, but it would appear Fantasy owners should be prepared to insert a healthier option for Week 21. It does help that the Pistons have a four-game slate, however.
News: Pistons coach Michael Curry re-confirmed that center Rasheed Wallace will miss his second straight game Friday night against Toronto due to a strained calf injury. While there's a chance he'll be back in the lineup on Sunday against Memphis, Wallace didn't seem overly eager to get back on the floor anytime soon. Wallace being out now is more of a precautionary measure, with the goal being to have him as healthy as possible for the playoffs next month. "I'm in no rush," Wallace said a few minutes ago prior to Detroit's morning shootaround. "I'm taking it day-to-day." When asked whether he was going to play on Sunday, Wallace said, "we'll see how it works out." Jason Maxiell, who started in place of Wallace against New York on Wednesday, will also get the starting nod.
Analysis: Keep Wallace reserved in all leagues Friday against the Raptors and hope he can return against the Grizzlies. When healthy, Wallace is a No. 2 center in all formats, and hopefullu he can return in time for the next scoring period so you know how to adjust your lineup.
News: The Detroit News reports Pistons center Rasheed Wallace will be out until at least Sunday against Memphis. Wallace missed Wednesday's game against New York and will miss Friday's game in Toronto, and will then be re-evaluated, coach Michael Curry said. Wallace was injured Monday against Orlando when he came down awkwardly after going for a rebound. Jason Maxiell will start Wednesday in Wallace's spot, said Curry. "I'm going to try and bring energy to the group," said Maxiell, who is averaging 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game this season.
Analysis: Keep Wallace reserved in all leagues at this time. Hopefully he can return for Sunday's game against Memphis, but he will not play against the Knicks and Raptors. When healthy Wallace is a No. 2 center in all leagues. Maxiell could be a useful stop-gap option in daily leagues.
News: The Detroit Free Press reports that Allen Iverson (sore back) will still be out, and Rasheed Wallace (left calf) is questionable for Wednesday night's home game against the Knicks for the Pistons. Wallace was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam this afternoon as a precaution. The team doesnt think its serious.
Analysis: If Wallace can't go, coach Michael Curry didnt know who would start. He wants to see the Knicks' starting lineup before making that call. He would choose between Kwame Brown and Amir Johnson, who has seen his playing diminish recently. Fantasy owners in daily leagues should look for healthier options and treat Wallace as day to day. He remains a suitable No. 2 Fantasy center in most standard formats when healthy.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace left the Pistons' game against the Magic on Sunday with a strained left calf and did not return to the game. The Pistons center joined Allen Iverson on the bench late in the first quarter, then limped back to the locker room midway through the second period. Wallace scored only three points in 10 minutes of work when he left the game.
Analysis: Wallace has not exactly been a model of consistency this season and has certainly had his struggles at times. He scored only four points on Friday against the Warriors and is averaging a mere 10.4 points over his last five games. The rebounds are still there, but the points have been lacking this season. Hopefully we'll know more about the extent of this injury soon.
News: Pistons center Rasheed Wallace had 16 points, 10 rebounds and three assists Tuesday against Denver. It was Wallace's 13th double-double of the season and his first since Feb. 10 against Chicago.
Analysis: Wallace has been up and down this season, but when he wants to play he typically posts good stats. Keep Wallace active as a No. 2 Fantasy center and hope for more double-doubles going forward.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace had 15 points with six rebounds in Sunday's game in Boston, but he picked up a technical foul. He is one technical away from an automatic suspension.
Analysis: Wallace had two of his technical fouls rescinded this past week to avoid a suspension, but it is only a matter of time until he picks up his next one. Fantasy owners should consider the fact that the Pistons play just three games in the upcoming scoring period and Wallace would be forced to miss one of them if he can't keep his temper.
News: Detroit Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace won't be suspended for the team's game against the Orlando Magic on Friday night. It appeared that Wallace would face a one-game suspension because he picked up two technical fouls in Wednesday night's 90-87 loss to the New Orleans Hornets. NBA rules dictate that a player must be sidelined for a game when he reaches 16 technical fouls. However, technicals Wallace received Dec. 23 and Feb. 7 were rescinded, NBA vice president of basketball communications Tim Frank said in an e-mail Thursday to The Associated Press. That leaves Wallace with 14 this season.
Analysis: That is good news for anyone who owns Wallace and has him active this week, obviously. Wallace is averaging just 9.6 points and 7.4 rebounds over his last five games, though, which is the real problem. Treat him as a low-end No. 2 Fantasy center until he can get going again.
News: Pistons center Rasheed Wallace had five points, eight rebounds and one assist Sunday at Cleveland. He has now scored just 35 points in his past four games and is averaging 11.0 points and 8.2 rebounds in his past five games.
Analysis: Wallace tends to go through stretches like this during the season but remains worth starting in all leagues as a No. 2 center. With all the injuries at the position, he still is capable of putting up solid stats at times and should break out of this funk soon enough.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace played despite ailing from a knee injury on Tuesday in a loss to Milwaukee. Wallace did not shoot well going 4-for-11 from the field in 34 minutes. He scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds with two blocks.
Analysis: Wallace was 0-for-5 from three-point range on Tuesday and that is not going to happen often for the sweet-stroking big man. He still neared a double-double and remains a must-start at all times.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace didn't play over the last 16-plus minutes in the Pistons game against the Hawks on Wednesday night as coach Michael Curry said his knee was bothering him. Wallace finished with nine points and seven rebounds.
Analysis: Wallace remains a must-start across the board in Fantasy and has the entire All-Star break to recover. He should be just fine to start the second half of the season.
News: The Detroit Free Press reports that Pistons center Rasheed Wallace is playing well recently despite trade rumors that he may be headed elsewhere by the Feb. 19 trade deadline. In his past seven games, Wallace is averaging 18.4 points and 7.6 rebounds. Coach Michael Curry thinks his surge might have something to do with the increased playing time of backup power forward Antonio McDyess, who provides another veteran presence up front. "The last few games 'Sheed has really been focused," Curry said. "I think the longer Dice is on the court with him, the better he plays. We got to continue to get good rebounding out them."
Analysis: Hopefully he can continue to play at this current level and remain a productive Fantasy option. When he's playing like this, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy forward and a No. 1 Fantasy center in leagues where he can be used at both spots.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace was 10-for-17 on Saturday night in an overtime win at Milwaukee. Wallace was 7-of-10 from three-point range for 27 points and added eight rebounds and two blocks.
Analysis: Wallace now has 11 threes in his last two games and is averaging 18-7-1 over his last five. He's playing like a must-start No. 1 Fantasy center once again and should be active across the board when he's this hot.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had nine points, six rebounds and two blocks in 41 minutes of play Sunday against the Cavaliers. He has scored a total of 21 points in his last two games after averaging 23.5 in his previous two.
Analysis: Wallace is no longer an elite scorer, averaging right around a dozen points per game, but he hits threes -- a rare quality for a big man -- and also contributes a decent number of blocks and rebounds. Keep him active in all Fantasy formats.
News:Rasheed Wallace tied a season high with 25 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 98-89 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. Minnesota had no answer for Wallace most of the game. Too big for rookie Kevin Love and Craig Smith and a bit too quick for Al Jefferson, Wallace got his shot nearly whenever he wanted it. He scored seven straight points -- two free throws, a fallaway jumper and a 3-pointer -- for Detroit during a 13-3 run to close out the game.
Analysis: Wallace earned his second straight double-double Wednesday and is averaging 13 points and eight boards over his last five. He's clearly picked up the pace over his last two games with two 20-point nights and five threes between the two games. Hopefully he continues to play at this high level because when he is, he's a must-start Fantasy center.
News: According to The Sports Xchange, January has been a forgettable month for center Rasheed Wallace. Head coach Michael Curry partially blames himself for playing Wallace too much before Antonio McDyess re-signed with the team in December. "For a long stretch, we played him heavy minutes and I thought he played well," Curry said. "We chased a few wins at the expense of wearing him down a little bit, and that's on me. Sometimes that happens when you're shorthanded and trying to get some wins. Now, with the way the rotation is, he'll fall back into less minutes and he can be more effective that way." It didn't make any difference Friday, as he scored just four points against Dallas, even though he wasn't assigned to guard Dallas' top threat, Dirk Nowitzki. Curry will try to give Wallace another break on Sunday when the Pistons play Houston. Kwame Brown and Antonio McDyess will guard the Rockets' 7-foot-6 center most of the game. That is, if Yao plays. The big man suffered a bruised knee Friday night against Indiana. "He can't, by himself, carry the paint," Curry said. "A lot of times when we were small, he'd have to protect the paint and get back to the other big. He can't do that anymore over long stretches of the game. "Having that other big on the floor really helps. If it's Kwame, Kwame can plug up and take up a lot of space and Rasheed can get in there and rebound. If Amir (Johnson) or Max (Jason Maxiell) is out there with him, their youth and athleticism can get to places Rasheed can no longer get to on a consistent basis."
Analysis: Wallace missed the first four games of the New Year with a sore right foot. In his first eight games back, Wallace has often been an offensive liability and a step slow defensively. He's shot 37.1 percent from the field and 23.7 percent on 3-point attempts. He's made just six blocks in those games while often getting into foul trouble. Wallace hasn't been great of late, but still deserves to be a No. 2 option.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace did play in Friday's game at Oklahoma City on Friday despite missing the team's morning shootaround. It was unknown if the reason he missed the morning practice had to do with his injured foot or simply becasuse he just didn't show up. Either way, he scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting and pulled in eight rebounds.
Analysis: You never can be completely sure with Wallace as we may never know the reason he missed practice. He apparently wasn't punished by it in terms of playing time as he put in his normal 30-plus minutes. He should be good to go for the upcoming scoring period but make sure he plays Saturday against the Hornets before making a solid decision on him. If he's healthy, he's a No. 2 option.
News: The Detroit News reports that Rasheed Wallace missed Friday's morning shoot-around and coach Michael Curry said his status for Friday's tilt game at Oklahoma City will be determined before the game. "He called," the Pistons coach said of Wallace. "He thought it was 10:45 (the bus left at 9:45 a.m.), but he wasn't feeling well anyway. If Wallace can't go, Kwame Brown would likely return to the starting lineup.
Analysis: Wallace has been dealing with a foot injury, but there is no indication that him missing the shoot-around was directly related. In fact, it actually just sounds like he missed the bus. Fantasy owners should monitor his progress over the weekend before making a decision on whether to start him for the upcoming scoring period.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace was able to play despite a foot injury on Tuesday night against Charlotte. Wallace scored 16 points and added seven boards before fouling out. He also blocked two shots and was 2-of-5 from long range.
Analysis: Wallace looked just fine on Tuesday and played at or above his season averages. That means he's safe to get back into the lineup as a solid No. 2 option in most leagues.
News:The Detroit News is reporting that Rasheed Wallace, who returned to the lineup Saturday after missing four games with a foot injury, is still nursing pain. The Pistons do not play again until Tuesday night in Detroit against Charlotte.
Analysis: This is just a word of warning for Wallace's Fantasy owners. He is not completely out of the woods yet. It does help that the Pistons are slated for four games this week, but Fantasy owners should treat him as an injury risk because the Pistons could choose to shut him down again on short notice.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace returned after a four-game absence with a foot injury on Saturday night in a loss to Utah. Wallace played 23 minutes off the bench and scored eight points on 4-of-10 shooting. He added four rebounds.
Analysis: Wallace gets about 10-15 points and 6-10 boards per night for the Pistons and, as a center, that makes him worth using in almost all Fantasy formats.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace did not play on Friday against the Nuggets with a foot injury. He has missed four games now with a foot injury. He remains questionable for Saturday's game at Utah.
Analysis: Wallace is nearing a return as he begins to look more and more game fit at practice. He will likely be a safe play for Fantasy Week 12 (Jan. 12-18). If he is active, consider him a solid No. 2 option in most leagues.
News: The Detroit Free Press reports that there is a good chance that both Richard Hamilton (groin) and Rasheed Wallace (foot) could return Friday night against Denver. Both players took part in Thursday's short practice, and Wallace was extremely active, running around and shooting three-pointers. Hamilton was not quite as active, but he has indicated that he wants to face his friend Billups.
Analysis: Pistons coach Michael Curry said it will be a game-time decision for both players. Fantasy owners in daily leagues will be taking a chance on both players tonight, but in weekly formats it appears that both players will be healthy enough to count on in Week 12.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace missed his third game due to a sore right foot Wednesday at Portland. He remains day to day.
Analysis: Wallace's numbers have held pretty steady over his three seasons in Detroit, and once again this year, he's averaging about 12 points and seven rebounds per game. His real value lies in his ability to hit threes -- a rare quality for a big man. He should return from this injury sooner rather than later, so get ready to get him back active.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace missed his second game due to a sore right foot on Sunday against the Clippers.
Analysis: Wallace's injury hopefully isn't all that serious. Wallace has not been as good as he was out of the gate this season and this injury can't help that situation. When healthy, Wallace should be treated as a No. 2 option but you could find better avenues in Week 11 (Jan. 5-11) because we just don't know if and when he'll return during the period.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace did not play Friday with a foot injury that he sustained in Wednesday's win over the Nets. Wallace is listed as questionable Sunday's game against the Clippers in Los Angeles.
Analysis: Wallace's injury hopefully isn't all that serious as his status for Friday's game was in doubt before he was ruled out. Wallace has not been as good as he was out of the gate this season and this injury can't help that situation. When healthy, Wallace should be treated as a No. 2 option.
News: Detroit lost C Rasheed Wallace to a first-half foot injury in Wednesday's win over the Nets. Wallace lasted just under 10 minutes on the court and scored seven points with three boards and a block.
Analysis: Wallace was playing well before leaving the game with the foot injury. Coach Michael Curry said after the game he wasn't sure if Wallace would be available for Friday's game against the Kings. Wallace is not playing like the star that sprinted out of the gates this season but is playing a very usable 34-year-old Fantasy center. Treat him as a No. 2 Fantasy option, when healthy.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace is back to playing better for the Pistons of late. On Saturday night against the Bucks, Wallace scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He hit three three-pointers and shot 5-of-15 from the floor and added a block.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging 14 points and 7.4 boards over his last five games. The rebounds are at his season average and his scoring is slightly above. He's not playing like the star that sprinted out of the gates this season but is playing a very usable 34-year-old Fantasy center. Treat him as a No. 2 Fantasy option.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace didn't shoot well in Saturday's game against the Bobcats, a win for the Pistons in which Charlotte won the 4th quarter 30-12 but Detroit held on. Wallace finished with 3-for-10 shooting for nine points. He was 1-of-4 from long range with five boards and four blocks.
Analysis: Wallace's numbers have been way down from his amazing start to the season. He's averaging just 9.6 points per game over his last five with just one of those games in double figures. He's also rebounding less lately. Both his scoring and boards have been worse over his last five than his season's numbers. Wallace remains an inconsistent scorer, but he plays solid defense and remains one of the few big men who can hit a three. Treat him as a No. 2 Fantasy option.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace, averaging 10.2 points over his last five games, had 19 points on 6-for-11 shooting, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range, Tuesday at San Antonio. He also had five rebounds and a steal.
Analysis: Wallace remains an inconsistent scorer, but he plays solid defense and remains one of the few big men who can hit a three. Treat him as a No. 2 Fantasy option.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace scored 11 points with three assists and just one rebound Sunday against Portland. He is averaging 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds over his last five games.
Analysis: Wallace had been playing lights out around mid-November, but has since cooled off. The Pistons play three games in the upcoming scoring period and he should be viewed as no more than a No. 4 forward or No. 2 center for the week ahead and until he turns it around.
News: Detroit C Rasheed Wallace continued to play like an All-Star on Wednesday night in a win over the Cavaliers. Wallace scored 21 points and added 15 rebounds for the Pistons. He hit three threes in the game.
Analysis: Wallace now has averaged 19 points and 11 boards over his last four contests for the Pistons and has looked like one of, if not the, best centers in the game right now. Keep him active for at least the time being.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace scored a season-high 25 points Friday against the Lakers in Los Angeles to go with a season-high 13 rebounds. He also blocked two shots and made four-three pointers.
Analysis: Wallace was already off to a pretty decent start this season, but this latest run is really impressive. He had 19 points and 11 rebounds in his last game. He's had at least a block in every game this season and has made two or more three-pointers in four of his last five games. In Rotisserie leagues, there are not many better centers in Fantasy right now.
News: Detroit coach Michael Curry made a lineup change Thursday, starting Kwame Brown for the first time this season and bringing Amir Johnson off the bench. Brown started at power forward and Rasheed Wallace moved to center. Curry said he would stick with this lineup for the time being.
Analysis: Wallace had 19 points and 11 rebounds playing at the position he's been most productive at in his career. He's complained about playing center for the last year, but the Pistons have not had much choice. He could end up picking up forward eligibility, but his value will remain highest as a center in Fantasy.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace, who had a 17-point, 12-rebound performance his last time on the court, contributed 15 points, four rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes of play Monday at Charlotte. He shot 6-for-12 from the floor and 3-for-5 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Coming off consecutive seasons in which he averaged less than 13 points, Wallace has more than 15 in his last two games. His scoring might drop some with the arrival of Allen Iverson, but as one of the few big men who contributes 3-pointers, he deserves to start as a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: The Detroit Pistons shook the NBA in a big way Monday - landing former MVP Allen Iverson from the Denver Nuggets. The Pistons gave up All-Star point guard and former NBA finals MVP Chauncey Billups and top reserve Antonio McDyess. The blockbuster deal comes two games into the season for Detroit. The Pistons have been a model of consistency in recent years, but they were determined to change their core following a third straight exit from the Eastern Conference finals last summer. Billups returns to familiar surroundings - he was born in Denver and played in college at Colorado. McDyess also will be enjoying a homecoming of sorts, having been a Nugget from 1995-97 and 1998-02.
Analysis: Pistons center Rasheed Wallace loses his frontcourt mate in McDyess but gains a new point guard in Iverson. Wallace's Fantasy value will remain the same following this deal, so continue to start him as a No. 2 Fantasy option. He could get more minutes without McDyess, but that won't change much.
News: The Pistons have four games in Fantasy Week 2 (Nov. 3-9). Center Rasheed Wallace will be matched up against Emeka Okafor, Jermaine O'Neal, Josh Boone or Brook Lopez and Kendrick Perkins. In Week 1, Wallace totaled 26 points, 19 rebounds, four assists, seven blocks, three steals and just three turnovers.
Analysis: 'Sheed did most of his damage on Saturday against Washington when he had 17 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, two assists and a steal against Etan Thomas. His matchups will be a bit tougher in Week 2, but the fact that he will get four games makes him a must-start in cumulative scoring leagues. Even though Wallace doesn't qualify as an elite scorer anymore, he can contribute in so many statistical categories that he still deserves to start as a No. 2 Fantasy C.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace, coming off a second consecutive season where he averaged less than 13 points, didn't do much scoring in the season opener Wednesday against the Pacers. He contributed in other ways, though, finishing with nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.
Analysis: Even though Wallace doesn't qualify as an elite scorer anymore, he can contribute in so many statistical categories that he still deserves to start as a No. 2 Fantasy C. Expect him to hit a few threes along the way too.
News: The Pistons will have just two games this week, but the matchups are not horrible. Indiana gave up 105.4 points per game last season and the Wizards enter the season with two of their starters out of the lineup in Gilbert Arenas and Brendan Haywood. Detroit, however, enters the season in good shape.
Analysis: The starting lineup has just one change this season with Amir Johnson starting at power forward over Antonio McDyess. But McDyess is career reserve player who produces just as much -- and sometimes more -- off the bench than he does as a starter. Johnson has some appeal in Rotisserie as a shotblocker, but most of the minutes at the four will still go to McDyess. A two-game first week is not the right opportunity to use Johnson in Fantasy. That may come later on. Chauncey Billups sould be a safe play in most formats this week despite the two games as should Richard Hamilton. But Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace's situation depends on options available. This is not the week to take a chance on players like Rodney Stuckey, Jason Maxiell or Kwame Brown.
News: Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars told The Associated Press on Thursday he's keeping his team together because no one offered him a good deal after he publicly put his players on the trading block in June. "We talked to teams this summer, but nothing was presented to me that would make us better than we already are," Dumars said. "This can be one of the elite teams in the league that contends for a championship." When coach Flip Saunders was fired, Dumars said Rodney Stuckey was the only player he wouldn't trade in a win-win deal.
Analysis: Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess have been Pistons since the 2004-05 season, the year after the franchise won its third championship. Wallace averaged 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 77 games during the 2007-08 regular season. He made 76 starts -- all at center. will head into the upcoming season with only center eligibility to begin with. That's not so bad, though, as his numbers these days translate better to being a No. 2 Fantasy center rather than a low-end starting forward.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace averaged 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 77 games during the 2007-08 regular season. He made 76 starts -- all at center.
Analysis: Wallace made it clear early on that he wasn't happy being a center, but the team didn't really have any other options. That may change during the offseason, but Wallace will head into the upcoming season with only center eligibility to begin with. That's not so bad, though, as his numbers these days translate better to being a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: The Pistons starting five of Antonio McDyess, Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince all played less than 28 minutes Tuesday against Minnesota. McDyess had 10 points, six rebounds and one assist. Hamilton had 18 points and three assists. Billups had 17 points, six assists and one rebound. Wallace had five points, four rebounds and one assist. And Prince had 10 points, seven rebounds and one assist.
Analysis: The Pistons are getting ready for the playoffs and aren't going to risk their starters being tired or hurt. Don't expect much in the season finale against Cleveland.
News: With their playoff positioning secure, the Pistons continue to rest their regulars. Rasheed Wallace has failed to play 30 minutes in a game since March 27, a span of eight games.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging just 8.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg in April and is likely going to play no more than 25 minutes in any of the team's final two games of the regular season.
News: Pistons guard Chauncey Billups had 18 points on Wednesday at the Sixers to lead Detroit, which again gave its reserves significant playing time. Billups also added five rebounds and five assists. Tayshaun Prince (nine points, five rebounds and three assists), Antonio McDyess (eight points, five rebounds) and Rasheed Wallace (eight points, four rebounds) all played fewer than 30 minutes and scored in single digits.
Analysis: It appears the Pistons are going to rest their starters for the final few games. They will get the opportunity to produce in limited minutes, but they will likely not give you the same production you would normally expect. Because of that, the safe option is to rest Billups, Prince, McDyess and Wallace in the final week of the season.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had six points, seven rebounds and two assists Tuesday against the Knicks in 23 minutes.
Analysis: The Pistons are going to take it easy on their starters with the playoffs looming, so don't expect much from Wallace down the stretch. Consider him a No. 3 Fantasy option at this time.
News:Richard Hamilton sat out Friday's game against New Jersey with a sore hip. He remains day to day. Hamilton had plenty of company on the Detroit bench. Antonio McDyess only played 25 minutes, Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace played 24 apiece, and Chauncey Billups was only on the floor for 22 with the Pistons locked into playoff position.
Analysis: This could be what Wallace is looking at in the final scoring period of the season, making him a risky play in Fantasy. Wallace managed 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists Friday in his limited minutes, but just be aware that he'll be playing limited minutes in the week ahead.
News: With the second seed in the East essentially sewn up, and top-seeded Boston all but out of reach, Pistons general manager Joe Dumars and coach Flip Saunders decided to give PG Chauncey Billups, SG Richard Hamilton and F/C Rasheed Wallace the night off at Minnesota. "When Joe first told me, I thought it was an April Fool's joke, too," Saunders said with a chuckle before the game.
Analysis: 'Sheed is eligible at center in CBSSports.com leagues that allow dual eligibility, and getting three-point production from your center position is a big plus in Rotisserie formats. He remains useful as a No. 2 Fantasy center or as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy forward. This respite is likely just a one-day thing.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace shot just 3-for-12 from the field in Sunday's loss at Washington, but all three shots came from beyond the arc. He's made at least two in four straight games.
Analysis: 'Sheed is eligible at center in CBSSports.com leagues that allow dual eligibility and getting three-point production from your center position is a big plus in Rotisserie formats. He remains useful as a No. 2 Fantasy center or as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News:Richard Hamilton scored 24 points, Rasheed Wallace added 21, and the Detroit Pistons beat the Denver Nuggets 136-120 on Tuesday night. Wallace, who also had five rebounds and six assists, had his highest scoring output Tuesday in the four games since returning from an ankle injury. He has scored in double figures for five straight games and has hit 20 points twice in that span.
Analysis: It's good to see Wallace playing well after missing a few games. Wallace has played more than 70 games in his first three full seasons with Detroit and hasn't been that much of a Fantasy headace over his career. He is no longer a guy that can score 18 or 19 points per night, but is still worth using as a No. 3 Fantasy forward or low-end No. 1 Fantasy center.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had 10 points with four rebounds and three assists in Sunday's win over New Orleans. He added a steal and a block.
Analysis: Wallace is no longer a guy that can score 18 or 19 points per night, but is still worth using as a No. 3 Fantasy forward or low-end No. 1 Fantasy center.
News: Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace returned to the starting lineup Wednesday against the 76ers after missing two games with an ankle injury. He had 17 points, five rebounds and one assist in 34 minutes. Wallace has 17 or more points in three of his last four games.
Analysis: Wallace has played more than 70 games in his first three full seasons with Detroit and hasn't been that much of a Fantasy headace over his career. He is no longer a guy that can score 18 or 19 points per night, but is still worth using as a No. 3 Fantasy forward or low-end No. 1 Fantasy center.
News: According to the Detroit News, Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace is not "injured" -- there is no structural damage to his ankle. But it is sore enough he has missed the last two games and is questionable Wednesday night against the 76ers. "It's so-so," Wallace said. "It'll be a game-timer (as to whether he plays). Who knows?" Since little is at stake, the Pistons are going to allow Wallace to take all the time he requires. "Yeah, I am still limited," Wallace said. "That mobility, that instant burst of speed (isn't there). If we come down and turn it over and I have to run back on defense, that burst isn't there."
Analysis: It appears even if Wallace plays he will be limited. Hopefully he can return soon and be a viable Fantasy option again.
News: The Detroit News reports that Pistons head coach Flip Saunders wanted to give Rasheed Wallace more time to rest, that being the reason he sat him once again on Sunday. "Rasheed is better, but we're not taking any chances," coach Flip Saunders said. "We've lost three times to Chicago, so I would like to have him, but this is a good time to rest him. He had a day off after the Boston game. He sat out in New York, we had another day off (Saturday), and then after tonight we don't play until Wednesday. So we are giving him five or six days of total rest."
Analysis: Saunders was asked if he was worried how that much rest will impact Wallace's conditioning. "You worry, but it's better to have that than all of a sudden he twists it again, and then the injury really lingers," Saunders said. It appears Wallace will be a safe start for the upcoming scoring period.
News: Detroit's Rasheed Wallace and Chicago's Chris Duhon both missed Sunday's game between the Pistons and Bulls. Wallace sat out his second straight game with a sprained left ankle.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging 13.2 points and 7.0 rebounds this year, making him a solid No. 2 Fantasy center. We have no indication yet of his return, so reserve him for now.

News: Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace tweaked his left ankle in the second quarter against the Celtics on Wednesday. It is uncertain whether he will play on Friday at New York.
Analysis: Wallace is averaging 13.2 points and 7.0 rebounds this year. Hopefully he will be able to play, but keep an eye on what happens against the Knicks.
News: Detroit center Rasheed Wallace had 23 points and four rebounds Wednesday at Boston. This was Wallace's second game over 20 points in his past six.
Analysis: Wallace typically gets up for big games and tough matchups like facing Kevin Garnett. When he's on, Wallace is a No. 2 Fantasy option. Unfortunately, Wallace doesn't always feel like playing his best, which hurts his Fantasy output.
News: Detroit F/C Rasheed Wallace had only seven points, six rebounds and two assists Tuesday against Seattle.
Analysis: Wallace is capable of poor outings like this when he doesn't feel like doing much. Still, he's worth using as a No. 2 Fantasy option in all scoring formats.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace shot 7-for-9 from the field in Saturday's game at the Clippers. He finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks.
Analysis: Wallace did all of this in just under 26 minutes on the floor. He continues to be a useful No. 2 Fantasy center, despite some overall inconsistency.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace shot just 2-for-12 from the field in Wednesday's loss at Utah. He scored 11 points with 9 rebounds and also blocked 3 shots with 2 assists.
Analysis: 'Sheed managed a decent line despite killing the field-goal percentages of his Rotisserie league owners. He continues to be a tad bit over-matched at the center spot, but his 13-7-2 line makes him useful as a No. 2 center if he's eligible there in your league.
News: Pistons F Rasheed Wallace shot 8-for-10 from the field in Sunday's 116-86 win at Phoenix. He scored 22 points and 8 rebounds in just 27 minutes of play.
Analysis: Wallace would have done even more damage if the Pistons didn't pull their regulars with just over eight minutes left in the game. He has seen his numbers dip a bit this season while manning the center spot for the under-sized Pistons, but it has made him useful as a No. 2 Fantasy center in leagues that use multiple positions.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had 10 points, six rebounds, four blocks, three assists and one steal Tuesday against the Magic.
Analysis: Wallace doesn't put up impressive numbers for a big man, averaging 12.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, but his ability to contribute in other categories makes him a worth No. 2 Fantasy center or No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News:The Sports Xchange reports Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace received his league-high ninth technical from veteran official Danny Crawford during the fourth quarter Tuesday against the Hawks. Wallace has one more than Boston's Kendrick Perkins and Golden State's Stephen Jackson.
Analysis: Wallace is still managing to creat havoc in the NBA 13 years after his career began. He might never grow up. As long as he is not sitting on the bench, Wallace remains a solid Fantasy option in most formats.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had 21 points Tuesday at Atlanta, ending a two-game drought with less than 10. He also had five steals, three rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Wallace averages 12.9 points for the season, so you can't normally expect 20 from him. Still, he does enough in the other statistical categories to serve as a No. 2 Fantasy center.

Analysis: Wallace had scored over 20 points in his previous two games, but he averages only 12.9 for the season. Still, he does enough in the other statistical categories to serve as a No. 2 Fantasy center.
News: Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace scored 20-plus points for the second straight game when he dropped 26 on the Heat Wednesday. Wallace shot 9 of 15 from the field and 7 of 9 from the free-throw line. He also had 10 rebounds for his third double-double in seven games.
Analysis: Wallace's recent play has earned the stamp of approval from his head coach. "When Rasheed is ready, motivated and focused, he can dominate anyone he plays," Flip Saunders said. "He's that good." Wallace's Fantasy owners wish he'd get motivated and focused for every game, but his 12.6 points and 7.2 rebounds still make him a No. 2 center in Fantasy.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace backed up his talk with 21 points and nine rebounds in a 90-67 win Sunday over the visiting Mavericks. Wallace said the Pistons had to take advantage of the undersized Mavericks by going inside, and he did. The bombastic center scored over Dirk Nowitzki on a fadeaway late in the third quarter as Detroit pulled away, and Wallace had more to say to the Mavericks. "He can't guard me!" Wallace screamed toward Dallas' bench.
Analysis: Wallace also had three assists and four blocks. His coach gave him a vote of confidence after the game. "When Rasheed is ready, motivated and focused, he can dominate anyone he plays," Flip Saunders said. "He's that good." Wallace's Fantasy owners wish he'd get motivated and focused for every game, but his 12.5 points and 7.2 rebounds still make him a No. 2 center in Fantasy.
News: Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Tuesday against the Pacers. He went 10 of 18 from the field. It was just the second time this season has converted 10 of more baskets in a game. Wallace now has just two double-doubles in his last nine games.
Analysis: Wallace has the ability to be a No. 2 option in all Fantasy leagues, but sometimes he relies too much on his three-point shooting. When he plays inside he's a much better player. Continue to start Wallace in all leagues and hope he continues to shoot a better percentage.
News: Pistons F Rasheed Wallace has made just three of his last 24 three-point attempts. His last try spun around the rim and out in the final minute Monday.
Analysis: Wallace has the ability to be a No. 2 option in all Fantasy leagues, but sometimes he relies too much on his three-point shooting. When he plays inside he's a much better player. Continue to start Wallace in all leagues and hope he shoots a better percentage.

Analysis: Wallace has the ability to be a No. 2 option in all Fantasy leagues, but sometimes his production is like a reserve. When he plays like this, start Wallace in all leagues, but more than likely he will continue to come off the bench for you.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had only four points Saturday at Chicago -- his fourth straight game with less than 10. He also had five rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Over his last five games, Wallace has averaged 7.2 points per game and shot 29 percent (15-for-51) from the field. He has battled a few rough stretches over the course of this season, but at least he finds other ways to contribute. Keep him active as a No. 2 center in Fantasy.

News:Rasheed Wallace had 23 points and 15 rebounds and the Detroit Pistons bounced back from a loss the previous night to beat the San Antonio Spurs 90-80 on Thursday. Before the game, Detroit coach Flip Saunders said of Wallace, who was averaging 12.8 points heading into Thursday: "I don't think we can just judge him by what he's doing offensively as far as on whether he's ready to play. Because I think even when he hasn't been good offensively at times, he's always been there and done things from a defensive standpoint."
Analysis: Wallace backed up his coach Thursday and did so with his game and not his mouth. We can get used to this Rasheed Wallace. The 13-year veteran has just six double-doubles this season, but recently gained center eligibility in Fantasy leagues and that is a huge bonus. He still remains a high-end Fantasy option.
News: Pistons PF/C Rasheed Wallace was held under 10 points for the first time in three games and just the second time in his last nine games.
Analysis: Wallace did bring down 11 rebounds and that was just the second time he's managed that feat in the same span. Wallace has seen his numbers dip a bit this season while manning the center spot for the under-sized Pistons, but it has made him useful as a No. 2 Fantasy center in leagues that use multiple positions.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace, annexed for one game at power forward Wednesday, returned to his usual position Friday at Toronto and scored 20 points -- his fourth-highest total of the season. He also had six rebounds.
Analysis: Wallace averaged only 10.9 points per game in December, but he now has 16 and 20 points in his last two games. Even if not an elite scorer anymore, Wallace does enough to start as a No. 2 center or No. 3 forward in Fantasy.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace responded well to a shift to power forward Wednesday at Washington, scoring 16 points, pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out three assists. The start was his first of the season at a position other than center.
Analysis: Wallace averaged only 10.9 points per game in December, so if the move improves his scoring, the Pistons might opt to stick with it. Even if not an elite scorer anymore, Wallace does enough to start as a No. 2 center or No. 3 forward in Fantasy.
News: Pistons PF/C Rasheed Wallace had just seven points with four assists and three rebounds during Monday's 45-point over the Bucks.
Analysis: With the game well in hand, Wallace didn't play too much in the second half. It was the first time in four games that Wallace was held to single digits. He remains valuable as a No. 2 center in leagues with multiple positions or as a No. 3 or 4 forward elsewhere.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace had 10 points and 10 rebounds Saturday at Indiana, giving him five double-doubles this season.
Analysis: Wallace is no longer a Fantasy stud, now playing at about the same level as he did last year. Still, his 12 points and seven rebounds per game make him a No. 2 center or No. 4 forward in Fantasy.
News: Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace had 14 points with 10 rebounds and two assists Sunday vs. Houston, giving him his first double-double in nine games.
Analysis: Wallace had been struggling to crack double figures in both points and rebounds. He had scored in single digits in four straight and six out of seven and also had just one double-digit rebound performance in his previous eight games. Perhaps this is the start of a hot streak for 'Sheed, who is worthy of use as a No. 2 Fantasy center or No. 3 or 4 forward.
News: Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace had six points and six rebounds Sunday vs. Golden State. He shot just 3-for-10 from the field and added two blocks, two steals and two assists.
Analysis: Wallace has scored a combined 10 points over his last two games, shooting 5-for-17 in those contests. For some reason, he's hit a bit of a low-point. He's still worth using as at least a No. 2 center in Fantasy play for the upcoming week.
News: Pistons F Rasheed Wallace had just for points and two rebounds Friday vs. Atlanta. He shot 2-for-7 from the field and was in foul trouble all night.
Analysis: Wallace has been in a bit of a funk lately, scoring in single digits in three of his last four games. He should get himself out of it soon, though, and continues to be useful as a No. 2 Fantasy center or a No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace did not start for the first time in the 19 games he's played this season Tuesday at Memphis. The team didn't give an official reason other than him not feeling well and missing the shootaround earlier Tuesday. Wallace ended up playing 30 minutes and scoring eight points, though he shot only 3-of-11 from the field. He also had five rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists.
Analysis: Wallace earned center eligibility recently, which only increased his Fantasy value. Though not a prolific scorer, he tends to contribute in every category, as he did Tuesday, making him a No. 1 center in Fantasy. We expect him to return to the lineup sooner rather than later, so keep him active.
News: Pistons PF/C Rasheed Wallace scored 15 points with 10 rebounds in Saturday's win at Milwaukee, giving him double figures in points and rebounds for the first time since returning from a knee injury that kept him out for two games.

News:Rasheed Wallace returned to Detroit's lineup Wednesday against the Cavs after a sore knee kept him out for two-plus games. He had nine points, eight rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes.

News: Detroit Pistons center Rasheed Wallace will miss the game Sunday against Utah because of a knee injury.
Analysis: Wallace will have two more complete days off, giving him a full week of rest before Wednesday's game vs. Cleveland. He should be able to give it a go by then. Consider him a somewhat risky start this week, but someone worth taking a gamble on as a No. 2 center or a No. 3 forward. If he's healthy, he can produce at an even higher level than that.
News: Pistons F/C Rasheed Wallace's sore left knee is not a source of major concern, but it could keep him out of action for Sunday's home game against Utah, according to The Sports Xchange. Wallace missed the Pistons' victory over Philadelphia Friday night because of the injury. He also sat out the second half of Detroit's win over New York on Wednesday. X-rays came up negative, so Wallace shouldn't miss too much time. "There's nothing structurally wrong," coach Flip Saunders said. "It's the same as it was. It's still a little bit sore and right now, we'd rather not take any chances."
Analysis: On Friday, Jason Maxiell started in place of Wallace, who's averaging 15.2 points and 7.1 rebounds in 11 games this season. He recently gained eligibility at center, making him well worth starting in any Fantasy format when healthy. He remains day to day.
News: Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace missed the Pistons' game against Philadelphia on Friday night with a sore left knee. Wallace tweaked the knee Nov. 11 at Seattle, then sat out the second half of Wednesday's 98-86 win over the Knicks. Analysis: Wallace has played in Detroit's first 10 games, averaging 15.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, a steal and a block. He recently gained eligibility at center, making him well worth starting in any Fantasy format. We don't expect he'll miss much time, if any, with this injury. Him sitting out the second half likely had just as much to do with the Pistons' big lead.
News: Pistons F Rasheed Wallace made his 10th start at center Sunday night at Sacramento, gaining him eligibility at the position in CBSSports.com leagues with dual eligibility.
Analysis: Wallace scored 17 points with 12 rebounds and two assists Sunday night. He added a steal and a block. Those numbers transfer very well over to the realm of Fantasy centers and Wallace's Fantasy appeal just got a big boost as a result.
News: Pistons big man Rasheed Wallace got his sixth straight start to begin the season at center Sunday at Seattle. He finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Wallace is now just four starts away from gaining center eligibility in most CBSSports.com leagues with multi-eligibility. Let the countdown begin. As a center, he will be much more valuable considering the scarcity of quality big men. He's a must-start in either role.
News: Starting at center for the fourth game to start the season, Pistons F Rasheed Wallace had 36 points and nine rebounds Thursday at Chicago.
Analysis: Wallace gains center eligibility in most CBSSports.com formats with six more starts at center and that would be an invaluable asset to Fantasy owners. Despite the fact that Wallace isn't too happy about playing center, the Pistons have no choice but to keep him there -- at least for the time being.
News: For the second consecutive game to start the season, Pistons big man Rasheed Wallace started at center Friday night at Orlando. He finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. He also blocked three shots.
Analysis: Despite the fact that Wallace isn't too happy about playing center, the Pistons have no choice but to keep him there -- at least for the time being. They have no other useful alternatives. In most CBSSports.com leagues, 'Sheed is now just eight starts at center away from gaining very valuable eligibility.
News: Pistons big man Rasheed Wallace started at center in Thursday's season-opening win at Miami. He finished with 11 points and eight rebounds and also picked up two blocks and two steals.
Analysis: The Pistons are still not sure about what they will do at the center spot with Wallace being their best -- but not ideal -- option for now. Wallace has openly griped about playing the five and we aren't sure this will last. In most Fantasy formats, Wallace is just nine starts away from picking up center eligibility. Hopefully it lasts at least that long.
News: Pistons C Rasheed Wallace scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds during a preseason game against the Cavs Thursday. Wallace went 3-of-8 from the field and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line, making his first start at center during the preseason. Wallace and Drew Gooden got into an exchange while Cleveland's forward was at the free-throw line in the third quarter. When play resumed, Wallace backed Gooden down in the lane and attempted to score over him when LeBron James came from the weak side and blocked the shot. Wallace was replaced, but as he was pulled off the floor by teammates with plenty of practice at calming him down, he jawed at James, who laughed.
Analysis: It wouldn't be a preseason without some sort of outburst by Wallace. If Chris Webber doesn't return in the coming weeks, Wallace could be picking up center eligibility as soon as 10 games into the regular season. That makes Wallace a real sleeper in the middle rounds because he'd be far more valuable as a low-end No. 1 center or a solid No. 2 than he would be as a No. 2 or 3 forward.
News:The Detroit News is reporting that the Pistons may rely upon Antonio McDyess to start this season if free agent Chris Webber does not return to the team. McDyess hasn't been a full-time starter since 2001-02, but the Pistons think they can best man the frontcourt, as they presently are constructed, with McDyess alongside center Rasheed Wallace.
Analysis: This means that, if Chris Webber doesn't return, Rasheed Wallace could be picking up center eligibility as soon as 10 games into the regular season. That makes Wallace a real sleeper in the middle rounds because he'd be far more valuable as a low-end No. 1 center or a solid No. 2 than he would be as a No. 2 or 3 forward.
News: Pistons F Rasheed Wallace averaged 12.3 ppg during the 2006-07 regular season after averaging 15.1 ppg the previous season.
Analysis: Wallace did see a slight rise in rebounding, but was about even with his career numbers there. Wallace will be entering his 13th NBA season in 2007-08 and shouldn't be valued quite as highly as in the past few seasons. His name alone may inflate his value on Draft Day, but we expect him to put up numbers worthy of a No. 3 Fantasy forward in any league.
News: Pistons power forward Rasheed Wallace returned to the starting lineup Monday after Antonio McDyess started ahead of him Sunday against Cleveland. Wallace missed practice time during the weekend because of a sprained finger. Wallace played 28 minutes Monday and would prefer to play 23-28 minutes the remainder of the regular season.

Analysis: Wallace should be fine. And Wallace has been on a three-point binge recently. Over the past five games, he has made 14 of 22 three-point attempts. That has boosted his season average on three-pointers to 36.2 percent, second on the team to Tayshaun Prince's 39.3 percent.

News: Pistons power forward Rasheed Wallace hyper-extended his left index finger in the first quarter Tuesday night. He played 2:32 of the third quarter before heading to the bench for good. There, he took electronic stimulus on his hand. He said he could have returned but "it's a little hard to rebound and catch the ball and pass it or whatever." He considers himself probable for the game Wednesday night against Chicago.

News: Rasheed Wallace, who returned from suspension, scooped up a loose ball and hit a 60-foot buzzer-beater to force overtime, then added another key three to help the Pistons defeat the Denver Nuggets 113-109 Monday. "I told them that strange things happen," coach Flip Saunders said. "We might as well try to get something crazy."
Analysis: It appears safe to get 'Sheed back into the active Fantasy lineup in all leagues which allow daily transactions.
News: Power forward Rasheed Wallace served his second one-game suspension of the season Sunday for excessive technical fouls.
Analysis: That may have been a blessing in disguise. Wallace wasn't needed in Milwaukee and he'll be one of the few players with fresh legs against the Nuggets on Monday. Wallace will have to be careful for the rest of the regular season, as every other technical foul (20, 22 etc.) draws a one-game suspension. Fantasy GMs will have to be ready for him to miss a game on short notice and will have to deal with that headache from this point on.

Analysis: Wallace, who received 15 technicals in the first half, is just one shy of receiving a suspension. Despite that, he remains a must-start in leagues of 12-plus teams.
News: After receiving his 15th technical foul this season Saturday night, Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace is just one shy of receiving an automatic one-game league suspension. Every second technical from that point would result in another one-game suspension. With 33 games remaining, beginning with their home game against the Clippers on Monday night, the Pistons could play a handful of times without Wallace during the final nine weeks of the season. "I think there is a double standard at times because of Rasheed's reputation," coach Flip Saunders said. "He reacts, other people react, and he seems to always get nabbed. But it's a Catch-22 because when he gets like that, he can become almost unstoppable." The NBA rescinded one of the technicals called against Wallace this season or he already would be facing a suspension.

Every second technical from that point would result in another one-game suspension. He had 18 points, nine rebounds and two assists in the game.

Wallace was on the bench again when the game started against Charlotte on Wednesday night at The Palace. It wasn't punishment, however. It's just a new role coach Flip Saunders has for Wallace for the time being.
Analysis: While Saunders wouldn't commit to how long this would last, the best bet is at least until the All-Star break. There's no beef at all," an upbeat Wallace said before the game. "I don't have any time for that mess." That's good to hear. As long as 'Sheed is happy, he should continue to play well off the pine. Consider him a No. 3 forward these days.
News: Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace was benched by coach Flip Saunders at the start of both halves of Detroit's nine-point victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Wallace was late for practice Monday. After Saunders lambasted his club for a lack of focus once Wallace showed up, Wallace was told to meet the team plane at the airport instead of practicing. Saunders informed Wallace of the benching during the shootaround Tuesday morning. Saunders said it was a one-game action, though Wallace didn't mind coming off the bench. "I know why. That was no problem," Wallace said. "That's why I wasn't even tripping. I'm straight. I might even ask him to do it again (Wednesday against Charlotte). Maybe that's what we need, just to try something different."
Analysis: Wallace should still remain a starter in Fantasy leagues, but consider him a No. 3 forward with the way he's playing right now.

No one would blame you by sitting Wallace in Fantasy leagues because his numbers have been down as of late, but on most occassions, he is a must-start Fantasy forward. The Pistons have not said when they expect Billups back.

Wallace scored 10 points in the first quarter and had nine more in the third, all coming after a Dallas rally. They came in a flurry, too -- three 3-pointers in a span of four possessions. He also had nine rebounds in the win.

Analysis: Wallace was still unhappy, to put it mildly, after the game and said he was given the technical more on his reputation than what he said after thinking he was fouled when he made a shot that brought the Pistons within 44-42 in the second quarter. "I was just running down the court and said 'And one,'" Wallace said. "This cat (referee Steve Javie) is looking at me from the other side of the court and he bangs me up." As long as Wallace can stay in the game, he is capable of having big games. Consider 'Sheed a must-start forward in any league.
