Mavs' Carlisle: Devin Harris remains day-to-day

(7:01 pm ET) Mavericks coach Rick Carlislie indicated Friday that guard Devin Harris remains day-to-day with lower right leg soreness, Mavs.com reports.

Harris has been ruled out for Friday's game but has a chance to return Saturday in Houston. He has averaged 8.6 points and 4.4 assists in 11 games.


Timberwolves days away from Kevin Martin's surgery decision

(6:58 pm ET) Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders said Friday that it'll be a couple of days before it's determined whether guard Kevin Martin will need to undergo surgery on his broken wrist, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The team won't be able to tell if the wrist is displaced for a few days, and they'll make a decision on surgery once that is known. After scoring 71 points in his last two games, Martin is out indefinitely with the injury.


76ers send JaKarr Sampson to D-League

(6:54 pm ET) The 76ers assigned rookie forward JaKarr Sampson to Delaware of the NBA D-League Friday.

"He hadn’t played in a while, and the log jam [at small forward] obviously is a result of that," coach Brett Brown told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "And we wanted to get him games. I think that’s one of the great things about having our own NBDL program. We can go back and forth and use him in that respect."

Sampson has averaged 2.0 points and 11.2 minutes in nine appearances.


Knicks C Andrea Bargnani remains limited in practice

(6:50 pm ET) Knicks coach Derek Fisher indicated Friday that center Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) is still limited as hasn't done "a lot" in practice, ESPNNewYork.com reports.

Earlier this week, signs pointed to Bargnani potentially making his season debut Saturday, but it appears his status remains up in the air.


Thunder's Durant, Westbrook set for limited work Saturday

(6:46 pm ET) Thunder coach Scott Brooks said Friday that small forward Kevin Durant (foot) and guard Russell Westbrook (hand) will take part in non-contact practice Saturday, The Oklahoman reports. Both players are set to be re-evaluated next week.

Bucks G Giannis Antetokounmpo ruled out Friday

(6:43 pm ET) Bucks guard Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss Friday's game against the Raptors with a sprained right ankle, the team announced. He suffered the injury while collecting a double-double during Wednesday's triple-overtime win.

Raptors PF Tyler Hansbrough (shoulder) out Friday

(6:41 pm ET) Raptors power forward Tyler Hansbrough will not play in Friday's game against the Bucks due to a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Hansbrough suffered the injury Wednesday against the Grizzlies, a game in which he played just seven minutes. He has averaged 3.4 points on 43.5 percent shooting in 11 games.


Grizzlies' Tony Allen, Quincy Pondexter in question Friday

(6:26 pm ET) Grizzlies shooting guards Tony Allen and Quincy Pondexter are the only two players who remain on the team's injury report for Friday's game against the Celtics.

Both players continue to deal with an illness that rocked the Memphis roster. Allen is questionable for Friday's game, while Pondexter is doubtful. As they are the only two players whose availability is in question, center Kosta Koufos, guard Beno Udrih and forwards Jarnell Stokes and Jon Leuer will be available Friday.


Magic PF Kyle O'Quinn out Friday

(6:17 pm ET) Magic power forward Kyle O'Quinn has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Hornets. He's been sidelined since the regular-season opener while recovering from an ankle injury.

Magic PF Aaron Gordon undergoes foot surgery

(6:14 pm ET) Magic power forward Aaron Gordon underwent surgery Friday to repair a fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot, the team announced.

Gordon will be re-evaluated in six-to-eight weeks to see how the foot is healing. His timetable for return will depend upon the progress of his rehabilitation. Gordon has aberaged 5.8 points on 58.1 percent shooting in 11 games.
