Knicks' Carmelo Anthony out Thursday against the Bulls

(6:40 pm ET) Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony will not dress for Thursday's game against the Bulls with a sore left knee, the team announced. 

Anthony, who is averaging 23.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, appears to be getting rest as this will be New York's third game this week and sixth in the last nine days. 

Tim Hardaway Jr. is likely to start in place of Anthony Thursday. 


Bulls' Derrick Rose out for Thursday's game against the Knicks

(6:26 pm ET) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will miss Thursday's game against the Knicks due to an illness. Rose missed shootaround early Thursday.

Rose also may not travel with the team to Memphis for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks will likely take over point guard duties for Chicago against the Knicks. 


Report: Mavericks, Celtics have agreement in principle for Rajon Rondo

(6:15 pm ET) The Celtics and Mavericks have an agreement in principle to send point guard Rajon Rondo to Dallas, according to ESPN reporter Marc Stein. 

The deal would send Rondo and Dwight Powell to Dallas for Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson, 2015 first-round pick and a future second round pick, according to multiple reports. 

Reports also say the deal could be completed as early as Thursday night. 


Report: Mavericks emerging as front-runner to land Rajon Rondo

(5:04 pm ET) The Mavericks are emerging as the front-runner to land Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, according to Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski. 

Rondo was rumored earlier Thursday to be open to re-signing with Dallas after this season.

Sources also told Wojnarowski the Lakers and Knicks declined to be a part of a three-way deal that would have included Rondo.

The 28-year-old is averaging 8.3 points, 10.8 assists and 7.5 rebounds per game.


Lakers' Jordan Hill misses second straight practice, probable for Friday

(4:37 pm ET) Lakers center Jordan Hill missed his second consecutive practice Thursday with an upper respiratory infection, but is still considered probable for Friday's game against the Thunder. 

Hill, who is averaging 12.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, has not missed any time due to the illness. 

If Hill was unable to go, Robert Sacre would likely get the start for Los Angeles. 


Kings' Reggie Evans, Omri Casspi out for Thursday against Bucks

(4:27 pm ET) The Kings have listed forwards Reggie Evans and Omri Casspi as out for Thursday's game against the Bucks.

Evans, who is averaging 4.4 points and 7.3 rebounds, sustained a knee and hip contusion Tuesday against the Thunder. 

Casspi, who is averaging 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds, is still dealing with a left knee bone contusion. Casspi has missed the Kings last five games. 


Bucks center Larry Sanders suspended one game for shove

(4:18 pm ET) Bucks center Larry Sanders has been suspended one game by the NBA for shoving Trail Blazers forward Nicolas Batum as he was in the air on the way to the basket.

Sanders received a Flagrant Foul 2 for the action and will serve his suspension Thursday when Milwaukee takes on the Kings. 

With many Bucks' players currently injured, including John Henson and Ersan Ilyasova, only Zaza Pachulia, Khris Middleton and Johnny O'Bryant III are left as options at a center in the lineup. 


Kings center DeMarcus Cousins upgraded to probable for Thursday

(4:09 pm ET) Kings center DeMarcus Cousins was upgraded to probable for Thursday's game against the Bucks after being able to go through a full practice for the second consecutive day.

Cousins, who has missed 10 games with meningitis, is averaging a career-high 23.5 points and 12.6 rebounds per game in 2014. 


Report: Celtics receiving interest in Jeff Green from multiple teams

(4:02 pm ET) Celtics forward Jeff Green is beginning to draw interest from multiple teams around the league, but so far, Boston is not interested in any offers for him, according to USA Today

Green, who is averaging a career-high 19.6 points per game, has two years remaining on his current contract and is drawing interest from the Clippers, Pelicans and Grizzlies. 


Spurs' Leonard, Parker to miss Friday's game against the Blazers

(3:51 pm ET) Spurs point guard Tony Parker and forward Kawhi Leonard will miss Friday's game against the Trail Blazers. Leonard, who has missed three of the Spurs last five games, is dealing with a bruise on his right hand. 

Parker, who has missed four of the team's last five, is still having trouble with a lingering hamstring strain.
