Grizzlies unsure if Jeff Green (back) will play in Game 1

(10:46 pm ET) Grizzlies forward Jeff Green is considered questionable for Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Trail Blazers on Sunday, the team announced.

Green is dealing with tightness in his lower back. Green has been bothered by a back issue for most of April, but it did not cause him to miss any of the last regular-season games.

The Grizzlies are 4 1/2-point favorites.


Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving not concerned about hip injury

(7:18 pm ET) Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving said he wasn't worried about the sore right hip that bothered him at the end of the regular season.

"No. No. It's not any concern," Irving said, per Cleveland.com. "I feel pretty good right now." 

"I thought he was fine in the last game Wednesday against Washington, with limited minutes of course," head coach David Blatt agreed. "And he looked great in practice today. So I believe he'll be 100 percent come Sunday."


Pistons' owner: Andre Drummond is a max player

(7:10 pm ET) The Pistons' Andre Drummond is still on his rookie contract, and the team could head off his restricted free agency in 2016 by offering him a maximum extension. 

The team tipped its hand on Friday, when owner Tom Gores said Drummond deserved the maximum. 

"Andre's a maximum guy," Gores said, per MLive. "He's a maximum guy. He's not only a great player, he's a great person."


David Lee will miss Warriors' first playoff game

(6:12 pm ET) The Warriors announced that David Lee would miss the opening game of the playoff series against New Orleans, according to a the San Francisco Chronicle.

Lee is suffering from a strained lower back and missed two of the last three games of the regular season. 


MRI reveals calf strain for Pacers F Paul George

(5:59 pm ET) Pacers forward Paul George was diagnosed with a calf strain Friday, reports VigilantSports.com.

George suffered the injury during the season finale Wednesday, but the injury is not considered serious.


Heat F James Ennis plans to improve ballhandling

(5:52 pm ET) Heat forward James Ennis said his primary focus during the offseason will be gaining muscle and improving his ballhandling, the team announced.

In 62 games during his rookie season, Ennis averaged 5.0 points and 2.8 rebounds.


Trail Blazers' CJ McCollum able to practice on injured ankle

(5:33 pm ET) Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum was able to go through a workout, cutting and making quick moves off the dribble, according to The Columbian.

McCollum is questionable for the opener of the playoff series against Memphis with an ankle injury. 


Spurs assign forward Kyle Anderson to NBADL

(5:29 pm ET) The Spurs sent forward Kyle Anderson back to the NBA Development League on Friday, the team announced.

During his rookie season with the Spurs, Anderson averaged 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 33 games.


Hornets GM: Lance Stephenson signing 'didn't work out'

(4:21 pm ET) Hornets GM Rich Cho met with the media for a season-ending press conference and expressed his disappointment in Lance Stephenson.

The team signed Stephenson to a three year, $27 million contract in the offseason. Cho said the signing, "didn't work out as we expected it to ... We thought it would work out a lot better," per NBA.com

Stephenson was benched in several games near the end of the season and set a record for worst NBA 3-point percentage in a season. 


Al Jefferson doesn't plan to opt out of Hornets contract

(4:17 pm ET) Hornets big man Al Jefferson can opt out of his contract with the team this offseason, but he told the media that he has no plans to do so, per the Charlotte Observer.

"I’ve got unfinished business here. That’s not even an option for me," Jefferson. "Unless something dramatic changed, I can’t see myself opting out, and leaving that bad taste in my mouth. And in the Charlotte Hornets’ mouth. I can’t walk away from that."

Jefferson will make $13.5 million next season, if he chooses to stay with the team.
