Report: Thunder rule Kevin Durant out of Friday's game

(5:48 pm ET) The Thunder will be without forward Kevin Durant for Friday’s game at the Los Anglees Lakers, reports The Oklahoman.

Durant suffered a sprained ankle during Thursday’s loss to the Warriors and is being considered day to day. Durant’s next opportunity to play will be Sunday against the Pelicans. Forward Perry Jones is expected to see increased playing time with Durant out.

The Thunder are 6-point favorites, according to VegasInsiders.com.


Report: Hawks list Jeff Teague as doubtful for Saturday

(5:35 pm ET) The Hawks listed guard Jeff Teague as doubtful for Saturday’s game at Houston, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Teague missed Wednesday’s win over the Cavaliers with a hamstring injury. In Teague’s absence, Dennis Schroder started and scored 10 points to go along with 10 assists.


Clippers rule center Spencer Hawes out for Friday at Denver

(5:11 pm ET) Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters center Spencer Hawes did not travel with the team and will not play Friday at Denver, reports the Los Angeles Times.

It will be the fourth straight game Hawes has missed while dealing with a knee injury. However, Rivers added that Hawes will not need to practice before returning to game action. His next opportunity to play will be Saturday against the Bucks.


Mavericks plan to play Rajon Rondo Saturday vs. Spurs

(5:01 pm ET) Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle told the media the initial plan is for recently acquired guard Rajon Rondo to play Saturday against the Spurs, reports ESPN.

However, Rondo must pass a physical before being cleared to play.

In 22 games, Rondo is averaging 8.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 10.8 assists.


Report: Wolves trade Corey Brewer, Ronny Turiaf to Rockets

(2:47 pm ET) The Rockets have acquired small forward Corey Brewer and center Ronny Turiaf from the Timberwolves via trade on Friday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Houston will send Troy Daniels to Minnesota as part of the deal. Per the report, Turiaf could be shuttled to a third team once the trade is finalized.

Brewer appeared in 24 games this season for the Timberwolves, averaging 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per contest while shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 19.5 percent from 3-point range.

Turiaf was ruled out for the remainder of the season following hip surgery. He appeared in just two games this season, totaling 19 minutes. He had no points, one rebound and two assists with the Timberwolves over that span.


Celtics will not have recently acquired players active Friday

(2:17 pm ET) Celtics coach Brad Stevens told reporters newly acquired players Brandan Wright, Jameer Nelson and Jae Crowder will not be active for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves, reports ESPN.

Their next opportunity to play will be Sunday at Miami.


Report: Bulls list Joakim Noah probable; Taj Gibson questionable

(2:05 pm ET) The Bulls listed center Joakim Noah as probable and forward Taj Gibson as questionable for Friday’s game at Memphis, reports Yahoo Sports.

Both players are dealing with ankle injuries, but Noah was able to play in Thursday’s win over the Knicks, while Gibson missed the game.


Report: Grizzlies' Tony Allen listed as questionable vs. Bulls

(1:58 pm ET) The Grizzlies listed guard Tony Allen as questionable for Friday’s game against the Bulls, reports The Commercial Appeal.

Allen suffered a right corneal abrasion during Tuesday’s win over the Warriors and the injury caused him to miss Wednesday’s win over the Spurs.


Report: Bulls list guard Derrick Rose as out Friday at Memphis

(1:29 pm ET) The Bulls will be without guard Derrick Rose for Friday’s game at Memphis, reports the Daily Herald.

Rose is dealing with an illness which also caused him to miss Thursday’s game against the Knicks. Guard Kirk Hinrich replaced Rose in the starting lineup Thursday and scored eight points.

The Bulls are 6 ½ point underdogs Friday at Memphis.


Knicks list Amar'e Stoudemire questionable; J.R. Smith doubtful

(1:20 pm ET) The Knicks announced forward Amar'e Stoudemire is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Suns, while guard J.R. Smith is listed as doubtful.

If Stoudemire does not play, it will most likely be because of rest.

Guard J.R. Smith is dealing with a heel injury which has caused him to miss the last five games. Guard Tim Hardaway Jr. was the main benefactor of Smith’s absence, scoring 23 points in 40 minutes Thursday.
