Lakers' Ed Davis doubles up vs. Heat Wednesday

(10:43 pm ET) Lakers power forward Ed Davis scored 14 points on 7 of 10 shooting while racking up 12 rebounds in his team's 100-94 loss to the Heat Wednesday.

Davis was one of seven Lakers to score in double digits, including all four bench players who saw action, but his 14 shared the team lead in the close loss. The double-double was just the fifth of the season for Davis, who also chipped in three steals and one block in 28 minutes off the bench.

The Lakers bring a three-game losing streak into Friday's matchup with the Grizzlies.


Pelicans' Anthony Davis explodes for 39 points

(10:38 pm ET) Pelicans forward Anthony Davis exploded for 39 points on Wednesday against the Pistons.

Davis shot 17-30 from the field. He sunk five of his seven free throws, leading the way with 39 points. Davis was no slouch on the boards, coming up with 13 rebounds en route to a double-double. He also added eight blocks and three steals. 


Rockets PF Terrence Jones scores team-high 21 vs. Grizzlies

(10:35 pm ET) Rockets power forward Terrence Jones scored a team-high 21 points on 10 of 14 shooting in his team's 102-100 loss to the Grizzlies in Houston Wednesday.

It was just the third 20-point performance of the season for Jones, who has nonetheless averaged 21 points in his last four games. He also came close to notching his fourth double-double but finished with nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes.

The Rockets will look to bounce back Friday against the Pistons.


Pistons' Andre Drummond doubles up on the Pelicans

(10:34 pm ET) Pistons center Andre Drummond posted a double-double against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Drummond shot 6-13 from the field. He hit one of his two free throws, finishing with 13 points on the night. Drummond was active on the boards, pulling down 18 rebounds. He also finished with six blocks and one assist.


Grizzlies' Marc Gasol hits game-winner vs. Rockets Wednesday

(10:31 pm ET) Grizzlies center Marc Gasol nailed the game-winning shot in Wednesday's 102-100 victory over the Rockets in Houston.

Gasol hit a mid-range shot with just tenths of a second left on the clock, keeping the game from going into overtime. He finished with a team-high 21 points on 10 of 14 shooting while racking up seven rebounds, six assists and one block in 34 minutes.

The Grizzlies will move on to face the Lakers Friday.


Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio posts a double-double on Wednesday

(10:23 pm ET) Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio posted a double-double on Wednesday against the Nuggets.

Rubio shot just 4-13 from the field. He hit both his free throws, finishing with 10 points on the night. While he didn't shoot all that well, Rubio did make sure to get his teammates involved. He dished out 10 assists, giving him the double-double. Rubio also added three rebounds and a steal. 


Nuggets' Kenneth Faried doubles up on the Timberwolves

(10:21 pm ET) Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried posted a double-double against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Faried shot 8-14 from the field. He sunk two of his three free throws, finishing with 18 points. He was active on the boards as well, pulling down 14 rebounds. Ten of those came on the defensive end of the court. He added two assists, two steals and two blocks during the contest.


Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas posts double-double in losing effort

(10:11 pm ET) Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas scored 26 points on 12 of 17 shooting from the field in Toronto's 120-112 loss to the Cavaliers Wednesday. Valanciunas also grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, leading to his 18th double-double of the year and first in his last five games.

Valanciunas also added two blocks and one assist to his totals.


Celtics' Tyler Zeller sinks game-winner Wednesday vs. Jazz

(10:07 pm ET) Celtics center Tyler Zeller made a reverse layup as time expired Wednesday to give his team an 85-84 win over the Jazz in Boston.

The Jazz put the towering Rudy Gobert on inbounder Marcus Smart with 1.7 seconds left on the clock, but the rookie guard was able to find his center for the winning basket.

"With 1.7 seconds left, you're really lucky to get a shot up, let alone a basket," coach Brad Stevens said after the game.

Zeller finished with eight points on 4 of 8 shooting as well as 11 rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes.

The Celtics will square off with the Pelicans Friday.


Raptors' Lou Williams posts nearly perfect shooting performance

(10:07 pm ET) Raptors guard Lou Williams scored 26 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field, including 4 of 4 from 3-point range, in Toronto's 120-112 loss to the Cavaliers Wednesday. It was a strong all-around performance for Williams, who also went a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line. 

He scored 21 of his 26 in the fourth quarter. Williams added six assists and two rebounds to his totals.
