Lakers' Scott: Jordan Clarkson 'getting more confident' each game

(5:43 pm ET) Lakers coach Byron Scott praised guard Jordan Clarkson after he scored a career-high 22 points on 10 of 16 shooting Wednesday.

"He played terrific basketball at both ends of the floor," Scott said at practice Thursday, per NBA.com. "And I just think with him, he’s just getting more confident each and every game. And I think that’s the biggest thing with him right now. He knows exactly what we need him to do on both ends of the floor."

The Lakers, who have put together back-to-back wins despite carrying just three healthy guards on the roster, are 4-point underdogs at home against the Bucks Friday.


76ers' Isaiah Canaan on increased role: 'It's challenging'

(5:24 pm ET) 76ers guard Isaiah Canaan said Thursday his increased role with his new team is challenging has he tries to improve his conditioning, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.

"It's challenging," Canaan said. "Now you've got to get your game shape up to par."

Coach Brett Brown also said that conditioning has been a factor with his new players. "They're a C or C-minus because they haven't played," Brown said.

After averaging 14.8 minutes in 25 games with the Rockets this season, Canaan has averaged 30.7 minutes in three games played since the trade, scoring 12.0 points and dishing out 4.0 assists per game.


Kings' Karl says Ray McCallum, Andre Miller will split minutes

(5:04 pm ET) With guard Darren Collison being sidelined for the near future, Kings coach George Karl said he plans to split Collison's role between Ray McCallum Jr. and Andre Miller, reports CowBellKingdom.com.

"I think right now probably my desire is to split them, probably 24-24 is kind of in mind what it’s going to end up," Karl said. "Probably defensively, Ray would be in the game when it counts and [Miller] would be in the game probably offensively. At the end of the game, probably Andre has more experience, but Ray’s got to learn how to play there too."


Bulls' Derrick Rose to undergo surgery Friday to repair meniscus

(4:55 pm ET) Bulls guard Derrick Rose will undergo surgery Friday to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee, the team announced.

It will be the second surgery Rose has needed on his right knee to repair a meniscus tear. The timetable for Rose's recovery will be provided once the surgery has been completed.


Kings' Nik Stauskas could see more playing time with Collison out

(4:41 pm ET) Kings coach George Karl said guard Nik Stauskas could be in line for more playing time with Darren Collison sidelined, reports News10 Sacramento.

However, Karl was unsure when Stauskas' minutes would increase, but said it would happen soon. In 51 games, Stauskas is averaging 3.4 points and 1.0 rebounds.


Kings unsure if DeMarcus Cousins will play Friday vs. Spurs

(4:01 pm ET) Kings coach George Karl said he is unsure if center DeMarcus Cousins will be available to play in Friday's game against the Spurs, reports News10 in Sacramento.

Cousins is dealing with a left ankle injury, which caused him to miss Thursday's practice. In 43 games, Cousins is averaging 23.7 points and 12.2 rebounds.


Pacers' Vogel hopeful C.J. Watson, C.J. Miles will play Friday

(3:53 pm ET) Pacers guard C.J. Watson is dealing with an ankle injury, but coach Frank Vogel is hopeful he will be available to play in Friday's game against the Cavaliers, reports VigilantSports.com.

Vogel is also hopeful forward C.J. Miles will be able to play Friday. Miles was not able to practice Thursday because of a sore foot.


Lakers' Nick Young listed as questionable Friday vs. Bucks

(3:39 pm ET) Lakers guard Nick Young received some treatment on his sore knee and is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks, the team announced.

The knee issue caused Young to miss Wednesday's win over the Jazz. Despite being listed as questionable, Young said he will not play Friday, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

In 42 games, he is averaging 13.4 points and 2.3 rebounds.


Kings will re-evaluate G Darren Collison (hip) in 2-3 weeks

(3:36 pm ET) The Kings aren't ruling guard Darren Collison out for the remainder of the season yet. 

Collison, who has a hip injury, will be re-evaluted in two-to-three weeks following a surgical procedure on a core muscle this Tuesday, the Kings announced on Thursday. Collison, who's been listed as having a a hip injury, suffered the injury against the Mavericks on Feb. 5 and has not played in a game since. 

Collison is meeting with Dr. William Meyers on Monday at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia on Monday for a consultation before undergoing surgery the next day. 

Collison has averaged 16.1 points and 5.6 assists in 45 games this season.

A previous report indicated that Collison's season could be in jeopardy as a result of the injury.  


Nuggets' Jusuf Nurkic ruled out Friday; Darrell Arthur doubtful

(3:30 pm ET) Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Jazz, reports The Denver Post.

Nurkic is dealing with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, a knee strain has forward Darrell Arthur listed as doubtful.
