Bulls' Gibson traveling with team Friday, Rose unlikely to play

(11:51 pm ET) Bulls power forward Taj Gibson (ankle) will travel with the team to Memphis for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, but it sounds like point guard Derrick Rose (illness) will not make the trip, ESPNChicago.com reports.

Coach Tom Thibodeau left the door open that Rose could join the team for the trip, but he appears unlikely to play against the Grizzlies Friday. The Bulls have two days off after the Memphis game before playing again Monday against the Raptors.


Rockets' James Harden scores 21 in 99-90 loss to Pelicans

(11:02 pm ET) Rockets shooting guard James Harden scored 21 points on 8 for 23 shooting in Thursday's loss to New Orleans. Harden also had seven rebounds and five assists for Houston.

Harden, who leads the league in points per game, will get a chance to keep his lead Saturday when the Rockets host the Hawks.


Pelicans' Anthony Davis grabs another double-double Thursday

(10:59 pm ET) Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis posted his 14th double-double of the season Thursday against the Rockets, scoring 30 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Davis also had five blocks, three assists and two steals. He continues to be a stat monster, now with 68 blocks on the season, seven ahead of DeAndre Jordan with 61.

Davis and the Pelicans will look to stay hot Saturday against the Trail Blazers.


Knicks' Tim Hardaway Jr. goes for 23 in loss to Chicago

(10:52 pm ET) Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 23 points on 8 for 19 shooting in New York's 103-97 loss to Chicago on Thursday.

Hardaway Jr. also had five assists and two rebounds on the night. While filling in for Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith, Hardaway Jr. has posted at least 14 points in each of the Knicks last five games. 

The Knicks will look to rebound Saturday against the Suns. 


Pau Gasol stuffs the stat sheet in Chicago's 103-97 win over the Knicks

(10:47 pm ET) Bulls forward Pau Gasol score 20 points on 8 for 15 shooting in Chicago's win over New York Thursday. Gasol also had seven rebounds, five blocks and two assists for the Bulls. 

It was Gasol's first 20 point game in his last six.

The Bulls head to Memphis Friday to take on the Grizzlies. 


Bulls' Jimmy Butler drops career-high 35 points in win over Knicks

(10:44 pm ET) Bulls guard Jimmy Butler went off Thursday, going for 35 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and four steals in Chicago's 103-97 win over the Knicks.

Butler shot 11 for 21 from the field, including 4 for 7 from three-point range and 9 for 10 from the free throw line, in his career night against New York.

Butler and the Bulls will look to stay hot Friday when they head to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. 


Celtics' Rajon Rondo officially traded to Mavericks for trio of players

(9:25 pm ET) The Celtics and Mavericks have officially completed a deal to send point guard Rajon Rondo to Dallas. Boston is also trading power forward Dwight Powell to the Mavs, the team announced.

Dallas is sending center Brandan Wright, forward Jae Crowder and point guard Jameer Nelson along with a conditional first and second round draft pick to the Celtics. 

To make room for the players being traded, Boston has also waived center Vitor Faverani and acquired a $12.9 million trade exception.


Warriors hoping to have David Lee back in a week

(9:16 pm ET) Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Thursday the team is hoping to get forward David Lee back next week if everything goes well in practice Friday and Saturday. 

Lee, who has only appeared in one game this year with multiple injuries, averaged 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in 2013-14.


Report: Hornets not trading Lance Stephenson just yet

(9:08 pm ET) Hornets guard Lance Stephenson is reportedly going to stay in Charlotte for the time being as the Hornets have not received good offers for him, according to ESPN reporter Chris Broussard.

Stephenson, who is averaging 10.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, has been rumored in trade offers for the Pacers and Heat, which Broussard indicates are still interested.

Stephenson is in the first year of a three-year contract with Charlotte after spending his first four seasons in Indiana. 


Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo will play Thursday against the Kings

(9:01 pm ET) Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will play Thursday against the Kings despite being questionable with an ankle injury.

Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 12.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, rolled his ankle Wednesday when he was driving to the basket.
