Saunders: Anthony Bennett may return to Timberwolves in two weeks

(7:01 pm ET) Timberwolves PF Anthony Bennett is still two weeks away from returning from a sprained ankle. 

A week after Bennett was first given a two-week timeline, Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders told the media that he hopes Bennett will be able to return in two weeks. 

Bennett will miss his fourth straight game on Saturday. He's averaging 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds for the Timberwolves. 


Casey: Raptors will give Kyle Lowry 1-2 games off for rest

(6:25 pm ET) Raptors coach Dwane Casey said that the team will give Kyle Lowry a game or two off in the near future. 

Lowry's first night off will be Saturday against the Knicks. Casey wants to give the point guard the chance to rest several nagging ailments.  

Lowry is averaging 18 points, seven assists and 4.6 rebounds this season.

The Raptors are 12-point favorites on the road. 


Hawks resting Pero Antic against Heat on Saturday

(6:18 pm ET) The Hawks announced that PF Pero Antic won't play against the Heat on Saturday night. The move isn't injury related. Antic is getting rested.

The game is the second game of a back-to-back and the third game in four nights for the Hawks, so the team is giving several key players the night off. 

Antic is averaging 5.5 points and 3.0 rebounds this season. The Hawks are five-point favorites on the road. 


Hawks to rest Al Horford on Saturday

(6:16 pm ET) The Hawks announced that Al Horford didn't make the trip to Miami for Saturday's game against the Heat. 

The game is the second game of a back-to-back and the third game in four nights for the Hawks, so the team is giving several key players the night off. 

Horford played 31 minutes on Friday. He's averaging 15.4 points and 7.6 rebounds this season. The Hawks are five-point favorites on the road. 


Hawks rule out Teague, Carroll on Saturday

(6:13 pm ET) The Hawks have ruled out Jeff Teague and DeMarre Carroll for Saturday's game against the Heat, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Teague had been dealing with an illness earlier in the week, but has been able to play through it the past couple games. It's unclear why he won't play on Saturday. Carroll has also been healthy lately, and the team may have just decided to rest their veterans. 


Heat's Chris Andersen out, Saturday, with illness

(6:00 pm ET) Heat PF Chris Andersen will miss Saturday's game against the Hawks.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that Andersen is suffering from an illness, and the team listed him as inactive

The Heat are five-point underdogs at home. 


Heat forward Chris Bosh released from the hospital

(5:57 pm ET) Heat forward Chris Bosh was released from the hospital on Friday, according to the Associated Press. 

"He's at home. He's starting to feel a little better," coach Erik Spoelstra told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Bosh will miss the rest of the season after dealing with a blood clot in his lung. When asked whether Bosh would attend games the rest of the year, Spoelstra said the most important thing was that Bosh was at home now. 


Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving ruled out on Sunday

(5:45 pm ET) Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rockets, according to ESPN. 

Irving is dealing with a left shoulder strain. He missed Friday's game due to the injury. Coach David Blatt has expressed confidence that Irving could return on Sunday, but he'll need more time to recover. Irving is averaging 21.7 points and 5.2 assists per game. 


Wizards' Kris Humphries ruled out on Saturday

(5:24 pm ET) Wizards forward Kris Humphries has been ruled out of Saturday's game against the 76ers.

Humphries is dealing with a groin injury. He did not play on Friday due to the issue. Humphries is averaging 8.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. 


Bradley Beal and Paul Pierce will play for Wizards on Saturday

(5:23 pm ET) The Wizards will have SG Bradley Beal and SF Paul Pierce for Saturday's game against the Pistons. 

Beal has missed the last eight games with a leg injury. Pierce has missed the last two with a knee problem. 

Beal will be on a minutes restriction in Saturday's game. The Wizards are four-point favorites at home.
