News
The Bulls' Pau Gasol has primarily been a low-post player throughout his 14-years in the NBA but this season he has successfully added the 3-point shot to his game, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Gasol is 5 for 5 in 3-point shooting for over his last six games, putting him at 12 for 22 for the season. That .525 percentage far surpasses his previous best (with at least 10 attempts) of .286.

"For the most part of my NBA career, I've been in the post. So I didn't shoot too many 3s," Gasol said. "But in our offense, there are certain plays where I'm in those corners. And I'm shooting it effectively so far."

Bulls guard Jimmy Butler poured in 23 points and grabbed five rebounds Wednesday to push the Bulls past the Raptors, 116-103.

After missing 11 games with an elbow injury, Butler scored 19 points in a win on Monday before leading both teams in points in tonight's victory.

''The more he plays, that rhythm will come back,'' coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game, per the Associated Press. ''He's put a lot of extra work in the last couple of days. Obviously we need him on both sides of the ball.''

News
When it comes to clutch play, no one has been better in March than Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic, who is averaging a league-high 9.5 points in the final period since March 1, per ESPN.com.

Coming off the bench, Mirotic scored 14 points in the fourth to help the Bulls defeat the Hornets Monday and is averaging more than 20 points and 8 rebounds in March.

"I'm playing in all the games," Mirotic told the Chicago Sun-Times. "I'm playing plus-30 minutes, and it's a great feeling. This is the adjustment for me, too. I'm working hard to stay out there, especially mentally. I know if I'm mentally good, then I can push myself and play good basketball."
