News
After watching guard D.J. Augustin pour in 35 points Sunday against the Raptors, coach Stan Van Gundy said Tuesday he is comfortable with Augustin remaining in the starting lineup in place of Brandon Jennings, who is out for the season with a ruptured Achilles.

"D.J. played really well the other night," Van Gundy said, per the team's official website. "I don't think there's any doubt he can handle that and we've got confidence in (Spencer Dinwiddie). I think we'll pick up another reinforcement and we'll keep going forward. It's obviously a loss and it'll make it tougher, but we've got great confidence. It doesn't change our game a whole lot. We'll keep playing."

Pistons forward Jonas Jerebko is set to become a free agent during the upcoming offseason, but he is not looking to head back across the Atlantic to play in 2015.

"No I’m in the NBA,” Jerebko told Basketball Insiders. "That’s it. I’m not even considering going overseas right now. The NBA is where I want to be. I want to stay in this league."

Jerebko is averaging 5.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 42 games this season.

"Every year in the league has been up and down for me," Jerebko said. "But I’m trying to approach it the same way. I’m just trying to work hard and give it 100 percent every time I have a chance to get on the court. Now, it’s starting to pay off."

News
Pistons power forward Greg Monroe scored a team-high 20 points on 8 of 15 shooting while hauling in 11 rebounds in his team's 89-69 loss to the 76ers Wednesday.

Monroe was one of the only Detroit players to shoot well from the field Wednesday, as the Pistons managed just a 30.7 percent shooting mark as a team. The double-double was his 13th in January, and the forward also chipped in one assist and one steal in 33 minutes. The Pistons will square off with the Rockets Saturday.

News
The season-ending Achilles injury to Brandon Jennings has opened up more playing time for Pistons rookie guard Spencer Dinwiddie. Although, coach Stan Van Gundy said Dinwiddie, who will back up starting point guard D.J. Augustin, will have to earn his playing time.

Dinwiddie has appeared in 10 games this season, while bouncing between the NBA and D-League.

"He made one good move right at the end of his time. Wasn't real aggressive, but he was under control and didn't make mistakes," Van Gundy said, per the team's official website. "I think his confidence will grow as he gets time and experience and we'll probably see more out of him, but he held his own and held the fort for a little bit."
