News
Pelicans small forward Tyreke Evans scored a team-high 22 points on 10 of 17 shooting in his team's 99-89 loss to the Kings Tuesday.

With Anthony Davis struggling to get any offense going against the Kings, Evans matched his season-high scoring total by posting his best shooting percentage of the season despite missing all three of his three-point attempts. He did tally seven rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes but also turned the ball over a season-high five times. The Pelicans will look to bounce back Friday in Atlanta.

News
Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis scored a career-high 43 points on 16 of 23 shooting from the field and 11 of 12 shooting from the free-throw line in his team's 106-94 win over the Jazz Saturday.

Davis also picked up his eighth double-double of the season by grabbing 14 rebounds, but his scoring upside came to the forefront Saturday, attempting a season-high 23 shots but still managing to sink close to 70 percent of his attempts. He also managed two steals and one block in the win. Davis will look for a quality follow-up Tuesday against the Kings.

The Pelicans are likely to start Darius Miller at small forward Tuesday against the Kings, according to NOLA.com. This move will also push Tyreke Evans over to shooting guard to replace Eric Gordon, who is out indefinitely with a torn labrum.

Miller has made four appearances this season, averaging 0.5 points per game. Evans is averaging 15.0 points, 6.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game.
