News
The Knicks will be going hard after Trail Blazers star forward LaMarcus Aldridge in free agency, according to NJ.com, which is speculating that he would give the team a much-needed scoring option along with Carmelo Anthony.

That duo, along with a possible draft pick such as University of Kentucky center Karl-Anthony Towns, would team up to create a potentially fine frontcourt.

The Knicks, however, must convince Aldridge to join what is now one of the worst teams in the NBA. ESPN is reporting that current title contenders San Antonio and Dallas will be chief contenders to land Aldridge.

News
Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard scored 18 points Wednesday but shot just 5 of 16 from the field, including 1 of 5 from 3-point range, in his team's 97-82 loss to the Grizzlies in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

"It's obvious I didn't shoot as well as I would have liked to in either of the first two games, but it's one of those situations where you've just got to keep playing," Lillard said after the game, per The Oregonian. "They're doing a great job defensively. I'm trying to figure out the coverages and listening to the way they communicate and figure out what they're trying to do."

Lillard hit just five of his 21 shots in Game 1. The Blazers take a 2-0 series deficit into Saturday's game in Portland.
