Spurs point guard Tony Parker scored 19 points on 8 of 14 shooting and turned the ball over just once in his team's 112-85 win over the Kings Wednesday.

"(Parker) was more aggressive," coach Gregg Popovich said after the game, per the Associated Press. "We saw his floater a few times and he shot jumpers. He looked like he was more aggressive. That's what we have to have from him."

Parker recently endured a three-game stretch in which he scored a total of nine points on 3 of 21 shooting, but Wednesday's performance was his second with 19 points in his last three games. He also kicked in three assists, two steals and one rebound in 25 minutes.

After losing four straight games coming out of the All-Star break, the Spurs bring a three-game winning streak into Friday's matchup with the Nuggets.

News
Austin Spurs forward Jarell Eddie is modeling his career patch on current Spurs guard Danny Green, Spurs.com reports.

"I look at the way Danny rose up in the Spurs organization, and the way he can knock down shots, but also does the little things," Eddie said last week. "I look at him, and I know what I have to do to make it myself."

Eddie has made 42.2 percent of his three-point attempts and won the NBA Development League Three-Point Contest in February.

"Shooting’s a premium at the NBA level," Eddie said. "With the release that I have and the size that I have, I’ve always had the mindset the I’m an NBA player. Now, it's clear that if you keep working in the D-League, someone will spot you."

Green indicated that the intangibles picked up in the NBADL have helped him make a leap.

"It lights a fire under you to see what it really takes to make it to the NBA," Green said. "So you spend that extra time picking up things defensively. I feel like I’m the guy they look at a lot of times because I just worked really hard and can shoot the ball. Us D-League guys didn’t have the easiest path, but it’s a path that’s worth taking."

Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard scored a team-high 21 points on 9 of 11 shooting, including 2 of 4 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 112-85 win over the Kings Wednesday.

Leonard had one of the most efficient shooting performances of his career Wednesday but was only able to make one of his four free-throw attempts. He also recorded five rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block in 29 minutes. Nineteen of his 21 points came before halftime, marking the best first-half output of his career.

"It's a big adjustment for me, creating your own shot and creating shots for your team," Leonard said after the game, per the Associated Press. "I've still got to improve."

The Spurs take a three-game winning streak into Friday's matchup with the Nuggets.
