News
Raptors forward James Johnson has seen his playing time rapidly decline since mid-January, as coach Dwane Casey has opted to start Greivis Vasquez alongside DeMar DeRozan and work to keep Terrence Ross' confidence up, according to the Toronto Sun.

Johnson hasn't played more than 9 minutes in the last six games and logged zero minutes in two of those contests. Still, the Raptors have won five of the last six games, and Casey said Johnson will eventually see his minutes increase again.

“He’s been great. He understands. I spoke to him briefly earlier, he understands that when DeMar came back, somebody’s minutes was going to decrease,” Casey said. “And it wouldn’t be fair to throw him out there for a few minutes just to say: ‘Hey, we got him in the game.’ His time is going to come. I don’t know when it’s going to come, but it’s going to come because we need his physicality on both ends of the floor. He gives teams matchup problems offensively. Defensively, he gives us that size and toughness that we need in the paint, rebounding that we need.”

News
Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan is starting to turn the corner. After missing nearly a month and a half with a groin injury, DeRozan has scored over 20 points in five of his eight games, including Tuesday against the Pacers.

DeRozan went for 24 points on 7 of 15 shooting, including 10 of 13 from the free throw line, in Toronto's 104-91 win.

"I'm getting more comfortable every single day," DeRozan said. "Just getting back to used to playing the game I'm accustomed to playing."

News
After being moved to the bench, trade speculation began to swirl around Raptors forward Terrence Ross. However, one league executive said Ross is 'absolutely not' going anywhere, sources told The Sporting News.

With the Raptors slumping, coach Dwane Casey wanted to shake things up and moved Ross to the bench. Ross came off the bench during Tuesday's win over the Pacers and scored 11 points in 19 minutes. In 45 games, he is averaging 10.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
