Terp WR Leak Withdraws from School

News: Marcus Leak has withdrawn from Maryland for the upcoming semester for personal reasons, and hopes to re-enroll in January, according to Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post.

Analysis: Marcus Leak is in good academic standing, and will head home to North Carolina to be with his family. It's a tough blow for dynasty owners of Leak, who was on his way to a breakout 2012 campaign before breaking his foot. Nigel King is the biggest beneficiary of Leak's withdrawal.

Northwestern's Prater Misses Spring Practice

News: Kyle Prater missed spring practice due to an undisclosed injury, Inside Northwestern reports.

Analysis: Kyle Prater was a high-profile transfer from USC (where many analysts had him as a top-five recruit), but he didn't get much playing time last season and had just ten receptions. While this injury doesn't sound serious, it won't help him get more playing time by missing practice. He still has the size (6-5) to emerge as a red zone threat.

Miami (OH) WR Harwell Goes to Kansas

News: Nick Harwell transferred from Miami (OH) to Kansas, the Kansas City Star reports.

Analysis: It's unclear whether Nick Harwell will be available for 2013 after getting kicked off the Miami (OH) team, but it will be a very interesting situation if he does play this year. Harwell was extremely productive the last three years, catching 229 passes for 3,166 yards and 23 touchdowns in just 34 games. Kansas' offense is a wreck and completed a mind boggling 47.3 percent of its passes last year, though, so Harwell will have to be truly dominant to make a mark in the box score.

	'Canes WR Lockhart to Transfer News: Robert Lockhart has been granted his release, and will transfer from Miami, Susan Miller Degnan of the Miami Herald reports. Analysis: Robert Lockhart's departure has been long rumored over the spring, and is now official. He had a tremendous camp last August, but injuries pushed him down a crowded depth chart.

Miami WR Lewis Set to Return in August

News: Malcolm Lewis (ankle) caught a scripted, undefended 75-yard touchdown pass in Miami's spring game on Saturday, and should be fully healthy come training camp time in August, notes the Miami Herald.

Analysis: Malcolm Lewis' recovery from a horrific broken ankle is ahead of schedule, and the team punctuated his return with an unguarded pass. Miami has plenty of depth at receiver, but Lewis' return so quickly is terrific news for his long term value.

	Miami WR Scott Off Suspension, Shines in Spring News: Rashawn Scott capped a solid spring with five catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the 'Canes spring game on Saturday. Analysis: Rashawn Scott abused starting corner Tracy Howard for both scores, and as long as he can keep his head straight, appears poised for a breakout 2013 campaign.

	BYU's Hoffman Recovering From Surgery News: Cody Hoffman will miss the spring after undergoing surgery to repair a torn shoulder labrum, according to BYU reporter Robbie Bullough. Analysis: It appears as if this will be close to a non-issue in the big picture. Cody Hoffman is an experienced player who will be ready to go in 2013 so long as he gets some fall practice time in.

Analysis: "Camp(anaro) is going to have some ankle surgery on a bone chip floating around so we're going to miss him," said offensive coordinator Steed Lobotzke. It doesn't sound like anything serious, so there's no reason to downgrade Camampanaro this far away from draft day.

Oklahoma State's Moore Still Around

News: Although he showed up on the list of players participating in the NFL Combine, Tracy Moore (ankle) will in fact return to Oklahoma State in 2013, The Oklahoman reports.

Analysis: It's not clear why Tracy Moore showed up on the Combine list, but he obtained a medical redshirt back in November and will return to Oklahoma State in 2013, as planned. Josh Stewart, Charlie Moore and Blake Jackson will all command a lot of passes, so Moore isn't necessarily a great fantasy target next year outside of Big 12-only leagues.

	Notre Dame's Jones Has Nice Night in Championship Game Loss News: TJ Jones had 90 yards on seven catches in Notre Dame's 42-14 loss to Alabama in the BCS National Championship Game on January 7th. Analysis: TJ Jones ended the 2012 season with four touchdowns on 50 catches.

	Notre Dame's Daniels Has Strong Night in Championship Game Loss News: DaVaris Daniels had six catches for 115 yards in Notre Dame's 42-14 loss to Alabama in the BCS National Championship Game on January 7th. Analysis: Unfortunately for DaVaris Daniels and Notre Dame, most of these numbers came after the outcome of the game was already decided.

	OU's Shepard Grabs 4 News: Sterling Shepard had four catches for 43 yards and added 6 yards on one carry in a loss to Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl on Friday. Analysis: Sterling Shepard has had an excellent freshman season for the Sooners and will be a key element of their offense heading into his sophomore season. He totaled 45 catches for 621 yards and three touchdowns this season.

	OU's Saunders Stays Hot News: Jalen Saunders had nine catches for 63 yards in a loss to Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl on Friday. Analysis: Despite being ineligible the first four games of the season, Jalen Saunders managed to grab 62 catches for 829 yards and three touchdowns. Saunders is one of two junior wide receivers for the Sooner's that may opt for the NFL draft this spring.

News: Devin Street had seven receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown Saturday in the loss to Ole Miss in the Compass Bowl.

Analysis: Devin Street has filed his papers for the NFL, but has said that he would return to the Panthers for his senior season. He finished the year with 73 catches for 975 yards and five touchdowns. After overcoming some injuries, he produced nicely.

	KSU's Lockett Has 4 Catches News: Tyler Lockett had four catches for 35 yards in the 35-17 loss to Oregon on Thursday in the Fiesta Bowl. Analysis: Tyler Lockett finishes a solid sophomore season with 44 catches for 687 yards and four touchdowns. He should be the top receiver for the Wildcats next season.

1/3/2013	Chris Conley, WR, UGA
	UGA's Conley Scores Twice News: Chris Conley caught two passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns against Nebraska in the Florida Citrus Bowl on Tuesday. Analysis: The sophomore had the best game of his young career Tuesday, scoring on a 49-yard throw in the third quarter, and sealing the 45-31 victory with an 87-yard strike in the fourth.

Louisville's Parker Scores in Sixth Straight Game

News: DeVante Parker hauled in a beautiful over-the-shoulder catch from 17 yards out for a touchdown in the second quarter of the Cardinals' win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl. He finished with two receptions for 31 yards.

Analysis: DeVante Parker scored at least one touchdown in eight of his last nine games and 10 of his 40 receptions went for touchdowns. As the Cardinal running game fell off in the second half, Parker became the best red zone target. The sophomore should be a nice fantasy target in 2013.

	Louisville's Copeland Snags Touchdown Catch News: Damian Copeland caught a 19-yard touchdown pass Wednesday in the Sugar Bowl win over Florida. He finished with two catches for 31 yards. Analysis: Damian Copeland bounced back after missing 2011 with a knee injury. He had 50 catches for 628 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-1 junior had four catches or more in eight games.

	Louisville's Rogers Leads Team With 62 Yards News: Eli Rogers had four catches for 62 yards in the Cardinal win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl on Wednesday. Analysis: Eli Rogers, a sophomore, came on strong in the second half of the season. In the last seven games, he had 35 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns. He should be a nice pick in Big East leagues next year as a junior.

Analysis: Kelvin Benjamin finishes 2012 with 30 catches, 495 and four scores, one of five 'Noles to catch at least 27 passes. He only had two grabs oevr the final three games however, and despite his ridiculous natural talent, isn't a good bet for a breakout in 2013 as FSU breaks in a new quarterback.

USC's Lee Finishes Top Trojans' WR Despite Being Held to 41 Yards

News: Marqise Lee took six receptions for 41 yards as the Trojans' top receiver Monday as Southern California fell to Georgia Tech 21-7 at the 2012 Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.

Analysis: With Max Wittek replacing Matt Barkley under center for Monday's game, Marqise Lee was held to his second-lowest receiving performance of the year. Regardless, he ends his sophomore campaign second only to Terrance Williams in total yardage by a wideout in FBS in 2012 and should be regarded as the premier fantasy option as his position heading into the 2013 season.

	FSU WR Shaw Paces Pass Catchers News: Kenny Shaw caught six passes for a team-high 61 yards in Tuesday night's Orange Bowl against Northern Illinois. Analysis: Kenny Shaw closes his junior season with 33 catches, 532 yards and three touchdowns. He'll be one of many talented receivers vying for balls from a new quarterback in 2013.

Analysis: Quintin Payton finishes the season as North Carolina State's leading wide receiver, going for 798 yards. He had just 11 catches in two previous seasons, but the 6-foot-4 wideout caught just two touchdowns in 2012.

News: Bryan Underwood caught one pass for five yards in Monday's Music City Bowl against Vanderbilt.

Thanks to Tobias Palmer's graduation, Underwood figures to see more targets in 2013, albeit in a new offense due to the arrival of Northern Illinois' Dave Doeren.

News: Jamison Crowder caught six passes for 49 yards in Thursday's loss to Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl.

Analysis: Jamison Crowder finishes the season with 1,074 yards and eight touchdowns, and was one of the biggest finds of the 2012 season. With a new quarterback, and star wide receiver Conner Vernon gone in 2013, Crowder is going to be hard pressed to repeat this performance.

	SC's Ellington Catches Game-Winning TD News: Bruce Ellington caught a 32-yard touchdown pass with 11 seconds left to give South Carolina the 33-28 victory over Michigan in the Outback Bowl on Tuesday. Analysis: Bruce Ellington caught two passes for 36 yards and the touchdown, while also returning two kicks for 51 yards.

News: Brandin Cooks grabbed three catches for 31 yards and took a single carry for an additional 15 Saturday as Oregon State fell to Texas 31-27 in the 2012 Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.

Analysis: Brandin Cooks finishes his sophomore campaign with the Beavers with an impressive 67 receptions for 1,151 yards and five touchdowns and should be a primary go-to target for either Cody Vaz or Sean Mannion headed into next season, especially given the departure of teammate and fellow receiver, Markus Wheaton.

UCLA's Evans Scores TD in Bruins Loss to Baylor

News: Shaquelle Evans grabbed seven receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown Thursday as UCLA fell to Baylor 49-26 in the 2012 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl in San Diego, California.

Analysis: Shaquelle Evans finishes his junior season with a team-leading 60 receptions for 877 yards, but ended up finding end zone only three times all season. He could prove explosive in 2013 given a full season proving himself a reliable target for Brett Hundley, but will have to do more in the red zone to garner the interest of fantasy owners outside of Pac-12 only leagues.

Analysis: Brandon Coleman did most of his damage on a short crossing route for 43-yards. Quarterback Gary Nova had issues with accuracy and Coleman could not crack the Hokies defense.

News: Anthony McClung had three catches for 110 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown Thursday in the win over Duke in the Belk Bowl.

Analysis: After scoring six touchdowns as a sophomore, Anthony McClung finished the 2012 season with just two scores. He was more productive with Brendon Kay at quarterback, but was inconsistent throughout the season.

	Cincinnati's Moore Scores Touchdown News: Chris Moore caught his fourth pass of the season for a 25-yard touchdown Wednesday in the Belk Bowl win over Duke. Analysis: Chris Moore is a 6-1 freshman who is very speedy. He had just four catches this year, but two of them were for touchdowns. Both of Moore's touchdowns came from Brendon Kay who may start again next year.

CMU's Davis Among Three WRs Suspended for Little Ceasars Bowl

News: Titus Davis, sophomore Courtney Williams and junior Defarrel Davis were all suspended Sunday for violation of team policy and will not play for Central Michigan Wednesday as the Chippewas take on Western Kentucky in the 2012 Little Ceasars Bowl, The Morning Sun reports.

Analysis: Titus Davis' absence on Wednesday should significantly limit the Chippewas ability to move the ball downfield through the air on offense, as the sophomore leads the team's wide receiver corps with 43 passes for 860 yards and eight touchdowns.

Washington's Williams Leads Huskies w/ 95 Yards

News: Kasen Williams took six catches for 95 yards to lead the Huskies in receiving Saturday as Washington fell to Boise State 28-26 in the Maaco Bowl in Las Vegas.

Analysis: Kasen Williams ends his sophomore campaign in Seattle with respectable numbers - 77 catches for 878 yards and six touchdowns - but in the minds of many fantasy owners seemingly underachieved this year thanks to the struggles of starter Keith Price under center.

	Boise State's Miller Ends Year as Top Receiver News: Matt Miller hauled in six catches for a team-high 90 yards in Saturday's 28-26 win over Washington in the Maaco Bowl. Analysis: Matt Miller is a sophomore and led the team with 66 catches and 769 yards. With another year to mesh with quarterback Joe Southwick, Miller could be a viable fantasy option in 2013.

Analysis: Jaime Wilson led the Broncos with 67 receptions for 792 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games played this season, becoming the first freshman in school history to lead the team in those categories. He is in line for at least an encore in 2013.

Only a sophomore, he still has his junior and senior season to look forward to with QB Rakeem Cato, who is also a sophomore. As Cato's unquestioned No. 1 option, expect him to enter 2013 as one of the most sought after fantasy WRs in the nation.
