Fantasy Analysis
Nick Florence and Bryce Petty, a combined 20-for-25 and 183 yards, also looked good. This is good news for the quarterback depth and offense in general - and bad news for the Baylor defense. The lack of bodies at cornerback is clearly hindering its performance and the defense could concede a bundle of passing yards this season. (Updated 08/20/2011).

Baylor made some strides on defense in 2008 and 2009, but took a step back in 2010, giving up over 30 points a game for the first time in two seasons. Enter new defensive coordinator Phil Bennett who comes to Baylor from Pittsburgh. Bennett's defense will be aggressive and built on speed. They should be decent up front, but just how much progress they can make in a league that has the likes quarterback Landry Jones and Brandon Weeden remains to be seen. (Updated 8/31/11)
