Cincinnati Defense Comes Up With Big Plays: The Bearcat defense came up with two fumbles within their own five-yard line and scored on an interception in the win over Duke in the Belk Bowl on Thursday.

Cincinnati had problems with missed tackle throughout the game and gave up 560 yards, including 200 yards rushing. The Bearcats came up with four turnovers and Nick Temple scored on a 55-yard interception return in the waning moments of the game.

| Cincinnati's DST was surprisingly good last year, allowing just 20.3 points per game, picking off 16 passes and totaling 46 sacks. A lot of solid players are returning, particularly on the defensive line, but the loss of Derek Wolfe on the line is a huge concern. With such a good showing in 2011, though, Cincinnati is worth owning in most or all formats. (Updated 6/4/13) |
