Lost in the impressiveness that was Clemson's offense Saturday against North Carolina State was their defensive struggles. Despite forcing two turnovers, the Tigers surrendered nearly 600 yards and allowed 48 points. Imagine if this were Oregon playing Clemson, and not the Wolfpack.

| Clemson is always recruiting top prospects, but the defense was a failure last year, allowing 29.3 points per game. Things could get worse, as standout linemen Andre Branch, Brandon Thompson and Rennie Moore are gone, as well as cornerback Coty Sensabaugh. Still, with a lot of good talent coming in each year, Clemson is probably worth a gamble pick in ACC-only leagues. (Updated 8/30/12) |
