Packers Cuts: Promising young WRs Tori Gurley, Diondre Borel released
Late last year, Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel, two undrafted wide receivers on the Packers practice squad, turned down offers from other teams to join their 53-man rosters. The Packers gave both a pay raise, and each entered 2012 training camp aiming to convince they deserved to be the sixth wide receiver on the regular-season roster. However on Friday, both were cut.

Packers Projected Roster: Getting to 53
Heading into the preseason finale Thursday against the Chiefs, the Packers still have unanswered questions of varying degrees of importance at almost every position. They hope to find answers -- or at least gain better clarity -- to those questions and more against Kansas City.

Packers Projected Roster: Getting to 53
The Packers are coming off their first win of the preseason, 27-13 over the Bengals, their best overall performance by far. The starters on both sides of the ball looked good. The No. 1 offense rode an impressive ground game to 17 first-half points, while the No. 1 defense held Cincinnati to a pair of field goals and just one conversion on six third downs.

RB Cedric Benson had a solid debut for the Packers, rushing for 38 yards on six carries against his old team -- the Cincinnati Bengals -- on Thursday night.
