TCU's James Lost for Season: Waymon James will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an injury to his knee suffered this past weekend against Kansas, ESPN's Joe Schad reports.

No other information on the seriousness of the knee injury at this point, but it in any case deprives TCU of its best playmaker on offense. Matthew Tucker should be owned in most formats in light of Waymon James' absence.

| Waymon James is an explosive runner who should be one of the Big 12's top runners this year, especially since TCU will be without former top back Ed Wesley this year. James needed just 121 carries to total 875 yards and six touchdowns on the ground last year, and Wesley's departure leaves the TCU offense with a shortage of 120 carries. All that extra work could mean big numbers for James, making him a player to own in most or all formats. (Updated 8/30/12) |
