Most of Chris Nwoke's production came on a career-long 72 yard touchdown late in the third quarter. Freshman Donnell Alexander still received ten more carries and is most likely still the better play going forward.

| In 2011, Chris Nwoke, then a sophomore, carried the ball 200 times for 1,130 yards (5.65 YPC) and nine touchdowns while adding 143 yards through the air. His 2012 campaign was not as productive. Nwoke rushed for 570 yards on 116 attempts (4.91 YPC) with just two touchdowns and 85 yards receiving. Freshman Donnell Alexander really came on in the final four games, and in the process made a strong case for the starting job next season. It's up in the air as to who will earn the gig this summer, and while both figure to see time, Nwoke, now a senior, has a leg up at least when it comes to experience. (Updated 6/11/13) |
