Troy's Robinson Throws Touchdown: Corey Robinson completed 21-of-35 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown Saturday at Middle Tennessee State. He also threw an interception.

Corey Robinson finished his junior year with over 3000 yards but only 12 touchdowns. He missed one game due to injury and was forced out of two others. On top of that, he will have to beat out rising start Deon Anthony next season as well.

| Corey Robinson enters his junior year trying to build on a solid sophomore season as Troy's starting quarterback. After starting every game as a freshman, Robinson put up similar numbers in his second year, throwing for 3,411 yards and 21 touchdowns on 508 attempts. He won't give very much production on the ground, but Troy likes to throw. Robinson averaged a bloated 42.3 passing attempts per game last season and should be around that number once again this year. As long as he keeps throwing, those numbers should be there, giving Robinson a high floor despite his modest ceiling. (Updated 8/30/12) |
