USF's Griffin Has Knee Surgery: Sterling Griffin had surgery to repair the ACL in his right knee on Thursday, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.

Sterling Griffin was expected to be the lead receiver for the Bulls this season, but he will sit out and return in 2013 for a sixth season (and with a new quarterback).

| Sterling Griffin is probably South Florida's top receiver when healthy, but injury issues and an extremely deep Bulls wideout rotation are hurting his value heading into 2012. Last year's nine-game totals of 43 catches for 530 yards and three touchdowns might be his production range over 12-game season. Still, he's worth a pick in Big East-only leagues and should be monitored outside of them, too. (Updated 6/4/13) |
