| Last season as a freshman, Josh Thompson made just six of his 10 field goal attempts, but converted on 57 of 58 PATs. Utah State moved the ball effectively via the ground game last season, but with running backs Robert Turbin and Michael Smith now in the NFL, it is unsure where the offensive production will come from. Between his lack of past production and Utah State's potential transition year on offense, Thompson is best avoided to start the year. (Updated 8/30/12) |
