SMU's Gilbert Over 350 Yards, Scores Three Times Against Memphis: Garrett Gilbert threw for 353 yards on 25-of-32 passing with a touchdown against Memphis on Saturday. He also rushed for two yards on seven carries with two touchdowns.

| Fantasy Analysis |
The 353 yards are the most Garrett Gilbert has thrown for in a game this season, which isn't all that surprising considering Memphis kept their defense on the field for quite a while as their offense did almost nothing. For the season Gilbert now has 12 passing touchdowns and 13 interceptions, which speaks to his inconsistency from week-to-week.

| The blue chip Texas recruit turned out to be a complete bust for the Longhorns, but perhaps a change of scenery will get the best out of Garrett Gilbert in 2012. He will have a much easier level of competition to manage in Conference-USA, and SMU has a legitimate No. 1 receiver in Darius Johnson, as well as an elite runner in Zach Line. Even as he struggled badly in the Big 12, Gilbert always showed good rushing ability, so he's a very intriguing fantasy prospect to monitor in 2012 in the event that he gets his passing production together.
