| Ross Metheny took most of the snaps in South Alabama's initial FBS season, and he struggled to the tune of a 54.8 completion percentage, 6.2 yards/attempt, and 12:12 TD/INT ratio. All things considered, those numbers aren't too bad, but now Metheny will have to hold off incoming transfer Brandon Bridge. Bridge is the superior athlete and should have every chance to unseat Metheny, although Metheny has the advantage of experience, having already worked extensively with a Jaguar passing game that returns its top five receivers from 2012.
