| Fantasy Analysis |
Stefphon Jefferson had an enormous 2012 season for Nevada, running for 1,883 yards (5.0 YPC) and 24 touchdowns, but he's not as good as those numbers would lead you to believe. He doesn't stand out in any area, as his main strength was his ability to hit a hole and take what's there, but that's not saying much in a diversion-heavy Nevada offense that often cleared the middle a great deal thanks to quarterback Cody Fajardo's ability to break contain. Aside from his ability to run decisively between the tackles and fall forward, though, Jefferson is typically average at best. He sort of comes across as a poor man's Vick Ballard, which leads us to believe he won't be more than a sixth or seventh-round consideration for most NFL teams. (Updated 12/31/12). |
