| Fantasy Analysis |
LaDarius Perkins had a strong year for Mississippi State, running for 940 yards (5.1 YPC) and eight touchdowns while catching 19 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He's a legitimate dual-threat running back and should have a good shot at catching on to an NFL roster, but we can't see the board giving him anything more than a fourth-round grade at the moment, which should make the junior hesitant about declaring.

| Vick Ballard: graduated. Chris Relf: graduated. Enter LaDarius Perkins and Nick Griffin as Mississippi State's new top tandem in the running game. Neither Perkins nor Griffin actually has a hold right now on the starting running back job, so it could go either way come Week 1. A platoon between the two runners is also certainly a possibility, if not likely. Perkins is a shifty runner and a pass-catching threat out of the backfield, while Griffin is more of a between-the-tackles runner at 6-foot, 215 pounds, so look for the two to see a relatively even split, with Perkins having an edge in receiver production while Griffin perhaps takes a majority of the goal-line work.
