Javone Lawson had a disappointing senior season partly due to missing four games with a broken arm. He caught 36 passes for 540 yards and four touchdowns, but that was a big step down from his 1,092 yards and eight touchdown junior season.

| The Lafayette offense came to life in 2011 with the emergence of star quarterback Blaine Gautier, and Javone Lawson was Gautier's primary partner in crime. Lawson caught 63 passes for 1,092 yards and eight scores last year, but he was particularly strong in the second half (48 catches for 811 yards and six scores in the final eight weeks), giving reason to believe he'll finish with even better numbers this season.
