WR Green: Potentially Most Dangerous Pass Catcher For FSU: Christian Green, writes David Hale of NoleNation on ESPN.com, is "potentially the most dangerous receiver [for Florida State] in 2012."

Some might question Hale's selection of Christian Green as Florida State's breakout receiver for 2012, especially given that Green failed to gain even 60 yards in a game after netting 11 catches for 179 yards in back-to-back outings against Clemson and Wake Forest last year. Still, says Hale, Green "has the talent, skill set and mental toughness" to be a standout. The sophomore admittedly is "flying a bit under the radar," Hale acknowledges, but that is something the writer states "might make him even more dangerous." "If he can iron out a few wrinkles in his game, particularly in terms of route running," Hale concludes, "[Green] has the potential to be every bit as consistent as [Rashad Greene] with as much big-play potential as [Kevin] Benjamin."

| Christian Green looks like a top talent for Florida State and showed a lot of explosiveness in 2011, 26 passes for 450 yards (17.3 yards per catch). The problem is that Florida State runs a ball-control offense, and the team has an embarrassment of riches at receiver. Star No. 1 wideout Rashad Greene will hog most of the production, and then all of Kenny Shaw, Rodney Smith, Greg Dent and Willie Haulstead are all threats to steal targets, too. (Updated 6/4/13) |
