Tulane's Marfisi to Have Increased Role in Offense: Head coach Curtis Johnson expects Matt Marfisi to have an increased role in the team's offense this season, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. "He's big, physical, and he catches the ball real well. He's angular and can go up and get (the ball)," Johnson said.

Johnson, a former New Orleans Saints assistant coach, has brought Sean Payton's high octane offense with him to Tulane and intends to use the TE similarly to how Payton does. This should benefit Matt Marfisi, who caught 13 passes last season for 131 yards and one TD.
