KU's Sims Goes Over 1000 Yards: James Sims struggled on Saturday in a blowout loss to West Virginia scoring Kansas' only touchdown, but his 57 yards on 18 carries was enough to put him over 1000 yards for the season.

He finishes the season with 218 carries for 1013 yards and nine touchdowns after missing the first three games of the season. He may choose to skip his senior season and opt for the NFL draft after posting such strong numbers in a very weak offense.

| Kansas' running game (22nd in the nation in 2012) did its best to make up for the lack of a passing attack last season. In his third season as a Jayhawk, James Sims topped 1,000 yard for the first time and scored nine touchdowns, giving him 27 for his career. He led the Big 12 in rushing yards per game (112.6) and will look to continue that success in 2013.
