Indiana's Roundtree Scores in Debut: Isaiah Roundtree carried the rock 10 times for 57 yards and a touchdown Saturday as Indiana ripped Massachusetts, 45-6.

Saturday's load marked his first work of the season after sitting out Week 1 due to concussion symptoms suffered during camp. It remains to be seen who emerges with the Hoosiers' starting RB gig long-term, though, since four backs have received at least 10 carries this season.

| A Morehead State transfer, Isaiah Roundtree hasn't done anything yet at the Division-I level but nonetheless heads into 2012 with tons of hype for his offseason performances. Indiana expects him to be a playmaker right away this year, but his upside figures to be very limited by the presence of Stephen Houston, who emerged as one of the nation's best running back last year by bolting for 802 yards (5.3 YPC) and eight touchdowns. Roundtree is still perhaps worth a late pick in Big Ten-only leagues, though. (Updated 8/30/12) |
