| Eric Thomas looks like a player who is unlikely to provide much big-play ability and might not snag anything more than a modest number of receptions, but he has quietly established himself as one of the nation's more consistent touchdown sources over the last two years. Although the return of top Troy wideout Chip Reeves in 2012 limited Thomas to 55 catches for 667 yards and seven scores, Reeves' graduation should allow Thomas to match or exceed his 2011 numbers of 67 catches for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. With Reeves and two other senior wideouts gone from the 2012 squad, there are 126 catches up for grabs from last year's offense. (Updated 6/11/13) |
