Cassius McDowell is the top backup to Fluellen, one of the nation's elite rushers. As a skilled pass catcher, McDowell should only rarely leave the field while the game is remotely close, though a blowout is certainly possible. Still, McDowell is a very good one-week plug for most owners.

| Cassius McDowell is a player to draft late in MAC-only leagues and keep a close eye on in other formats. The undersized runner was moved from wideout this offseason and headed into the fall as the team's second-ranked running back.
