Jay Ajayi received limited opportunities as he did much of the season because of workhorse and fifth-year senior D.J. Harper. With Harper gone in 2013, the speedy freshman will get his chance. He's definitely worth a spot in MWC-only leagues and becomes intriguing in any other format.

| Jay Ajayi is one of several candidates in a very crowded, very unproven Boise State backfield to emerge with a backup role behind starter D.J. Harper. Devan Demas, Jack Fields and Drew Wright appear to be the other relevant names, but it's anyone's guess how that shakes out. It generally appears as if Wright has the upper hand, though, because he's a senior who averaged over five yards per carry for Boise in 2011. (Updated 8/30/12) |
