Effrem Reed has played a bigger role in the offense lately and has become a reliable back in Sun Belt-only leagues.

| Effrem Reed ran for a respectable 418 yards and 5 touchdowns as a freshman last year, and could certainly see those numbers increase as he becomes more mature. Starter Alonzo Harris is also returning however, so don't expect Reed to get the number of carries he would need to put up really big numbers, especially since UL-Lafayette has a quarterback in Terrance Broadway that likes to run the ball as much as he does.
