Stanford's Montgomery (Knee) To Play More But Not Start: Ty Montgomery (knee) is expected to play more this week against Oregon but will not move back into the starting lineup, CSN Bay Area's Scott Reiss reports.

Ty Montgomery has two catches for 10 yards in two games since returning from the knee injury, and while he may be ready to move back into a more significant role, he's still not expected to be at full health until the Cardinal's bowl game. Accordingly, Jamal-Rashad Patterson will continue to start at wide receiver.

| The Cardinal's top five leading receivers from last season are gone, leaving Ty Montgomery as the apparent number one option in 2013. The 6-foot-2 Dallas native caught 26 passes for 213 yards last year but failed to reach the endzone. Stanford has traditionally focused on tight ends in the passing game, but Montgomery is one of the most athletic wideouts the team has had and will help take some of the pressure off of inexperienced tight ends Matt Kasner and Luke Kaumatule.
