Michigan States' Arnett To See Increased Playing Time: DeAnthony Arnett will play more this week against Central Michigan, the Detroit Free Press reports.

DeAnthony Arnett recorded no statistics against Boise State last Friday. The transfer from Tennessee caught 24 passes for 242 yards for the Volunteers as a freshman last season.

| The Spartans enter 2012 having to completely rebuild their receiving corps. B.J. Cunningham, Keshawn Martin, Brian Linthicum, and Keith Nichol, the team's top four pass-catchers from last season, have all graduated. Coach Mark Dantonio now needs to decide who his top receivers are for this year. DeAnthony Arnett, who is a transfer from Tennessee, will be available to play right away and contribute in his first season in East Lansing. However, his role on the depth chart is uncertain, which is about the same for the rest of the Spartan receivers. He's merely a later-round pick in Big Ten-only leagues for now. (Updated 8/30/12) |
