Jon Davis was slated to run the ball more this year, but he's carried the rock just one time since Week 1, when he had six totes for 54 yards. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound sophomore appears to have reverted back to the tight-end role he took on last year.

| Jon Davis' upside appears limited after averaging just 8.5 yards per catch and scoring once in 2011, but he could be a factor in PPR and Big Ten-only leagues since he was used regularly as a security blanket in the second half of 2011. He caught 19 passes in the last seven weeks of the year, and Illinois could target him often again in 2012 now that the team is without wideout A.J. Jenkins. (Updated 6/4/13) |
