| Fantasy Analysis |
Rakeem Cato could've thrown for even more yards, if it hadn't been for a lower leg injury that forced him from the game in the fourth quarter. The severity of his injury is unknown, but he was seen on the sidelines in a brace late in the game as he tried to re-enter the contest. He finishes the regular season as one of the biggest breakout stars of 2012 as threw for the second most TDs in the nation with 37 and led the nation in passing yards per game with 350.1. What's scary is that he's only a sophomore and will have the 2013 season to improve even more. Expect him to be among the most sought after fantasy QBs in 2013 in Marshall's pass heavy offense. (Updated 11/25/12). |
| Rakeem Cato performed aptly as a freshman in 2011, completing 59.9 percent of his passes and throwing for 2,059 yards, while posting a respectable 15-11 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He returns to Marshall for his sophomore season as a second-year starter for the Thundering Herd. Cato loses his third-leading receiver Troy Evans, who was a senior last season, but Aaron Dobson and Antavious Wilson are a very good one-two tandem. (Updated 8/30/12) |
