The Hokies' struggled to run the ball all season, and Friday offered little change. J.C. Coleman may be best suited as a change of pace back, and will be a boom or bust pick in 2013 as a result.

| J.C. Coleman is the team's leading returning running back, rushing for 492 yards and two touchdowns in his freshman season. He's not built to shoulder the load, but is a dynamic homerun threat who can gain a lot of yards with just a little space. Ideally, he'd pair with Trey Edmunds to give the Hokies' a "Thunder and Lightening" type of backfield, but it would be wise to see it before believing in it.
