Houston's Jackson Identified as Playmaker in Offense: Ryan Jackson was identified by head coach Tony Levine as a playmaker in the Houston offense, the Houston Chronicle reports.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Ryan Jackson, who had three carries for 22 yards in the season opener against Texas State, is likely to have his role in the offense grow as the team focuses on getting their playmakers more involved in the game planning. Don't expect him to unseat starting RB Charles Sims any time soon, but rather to see his playing time increase as he hones in on the backup RB job.

| Ryan Jackson will compete with Kenneth Farrow in the race to replace Charles Sims as Houston's feature back. After running for just 4.3 yards per carry of the bench last year, though, it would seem as if Jackson is the underdog to Farrow, who ran for 466 yards while averaging 5.4 yards per carry. If Jackson does win, in any case, he would likely become a fantasy asset in Houston's aggressive offense. (Updated 6/11/13) |
