Head coach Junes Jones commented this week that Gehrig Dieter would have an increased role in the offense and while that really didn't happen this week, Dieter at least made the most of his one touch.

| Gehrig isn't an especially high-ranking recruit, but the freshman could nonetheless earn an immediate role at receiver for SMU, as Darius Johnson and Der'Rikk Thompson are the only notable returning players. He's worth watching in Conference-USA-only leagues for that reason, but he's not worth drafting. (Updated 8/30/12) |
