Cole Gautsche was the starter the last couple of weeks, but they went with senior B.R. Holbrook in his final game this week. In the pistol offense, Gautsche becomes a intriguing play in deeper and MWC-only leagues as a sophomore in 2012.

| Cole Gautsche split playing time with B.R. Holbrook as a freshman, but could have the starting job all to his self in 2013. Holbrook is gone, so Gautsche likely has the inside track after rushing for 760 yards on just 109 carries in 2012. His passing is a question mark, but the Lobos are a heavily run-oriented team anyway. JUCO standout Clayton Mitchem is the most likely source of competition. (Updated 6/11/13) |
