KSU Defense Slows Oregon

News: Kansas State's defense held Oregon's potent offense to 385 yards and 35 points and blocked an extra point in a loss Thursday at the Fiesta Bowl.
Analysis: K-State's defense was surprisingly solid this season as the 35 points given up in the Fiesta Bowl marks the second most they've given up all season. They will lose at least 9 starters on defense going into the 2013 season.

News: Kansas State's defense had a great game again Saturday, shutting down TCU in a win.
Analysis: The Wildcats defense held TCU to 279 yards, forced two turnovers and didn't allow a point until the 4th quarter in the 23-10 win. K-State's defense is a safe start in most leagues for the remainder of the season.

Analysis: K-State is allowing just over 17 points per game to opponents this season, a number that is even more impressive when you consider their offense is averaging over 44 points a game. OSU's offense will test K-State as they've also been averaging just over 44 points a game so far this season.

News: The Wildcats defense forced three turnovers and returned a fumble for a touchdown in a big road upset over Oklahoma on Saturday.
Analysis: KSU hung on 24-19 and played great on both sides of the ball. The defense played their best game so far this young season and forced several bad passes - one that led to an interception - and recovered two fumbles.

Analysis: K-State's defense has been solid through it's first two games forcing five turnovers and giving up just 22 points.

KSU's Lamur moves to linebacker

News: After playing two years at safety for Kansas State, senior Emmanuel Lamur is making the move to linebacker for the Wildcats and is expected to start alongside fellow seniors Tre Miller and Arthur Brown.
Analysis: One of the weakest areas for the Wildcats' defense has now turned into an area with high hopes and expectations. Shifting Lamur from safety to linebacker gives the Kansas State defense a lot more speed in the box.

Analysis: Burns was expected to back up the two starting safeties this season. He may have left K-State because his father, who was the secondary coach, left last season to take a similar job with Mississippi.
