Jared Crick out for the season

News: The Nebraska defense took a big hit with a pectoral injury to defensive lineman Jared Crick which will keep him out the remainder of the season.
Analysis: Crick is not only the defense's top player, but is also a leader.  His cleats will be very hard to fill for the Huskers.

Jared Crick sits out practice

News: Nebraska defensive tackle Jared Crick sat out Tuesday's practice due to an undisclosed injury. On a positive note, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (pulled muscle) practiced and could see his first action of the season this week against Wyoming.
Analysis: The Cornhuskers currently rank 68th in total defense. This is not nearly what was expected of them. It will be critical for both of them to be healthy once Big Ten play starts.

Nebraska’s Defense Allows 41 Points in Win

Nebraska’s D/ST Allows 20 Points to Texas

News:
Analysis: The Cornhuskers' D did not look bad against Texas, holding them to 272 total yards, but they could not prevent them from getting in to the endzone. This can be attributed to the offense's poor play, resulting in great field position for the Longhorns. Nebraska gets a tough matchup against Oklahoma State next week, so we would recommend finding a better option.
