Analysis:Mitch Burroughs presumably suffered a break or ligament damage to the wrist, because Boise won't give him a timetable for return. Burroughs had 12 catches for 124 yards to this point in the year.
Boise's Burroughs Catches Three Passes Against BYU
News:Mitch Burroughs caught three balls for 23 yards in a 7-6 win over BYU on Thursday.
Analysis: With only nine catches for 91 yards and no touchdowns through three games, Mitch Burroughs is not worth owning.
News: Boise State receiver Mitch Burroughs led the Broncos receiving corps with five catches in the win over Nevada. Unfortunately, Burroughs catches amounted to 34 yards total -- the most of any BSU receiver.
Analysis: Nevada did a good job of keeping the Boise State passing game from big plays as no receiver after Burroughs had more than 25 yards.
News: Boise State receiver Mitch Burroughs had a nice game in the win over Tulsa, collecting five catches for 63 yards and a score.
Analysis: In terms of comfort level, quarterback Kellen Moore likes Burroughs just fine. Burroughs has 5, 6 and 5 catches in Boise's first three games, so he's going to get the ball thrown his way this year. This was Burrough's first score of the season.
News: Boise State receivers Mitch Burroughs and Matt Miller each had six receptions in the win over Toledo. Burroughs had 76 yards and Miller had 65 yards.
Analysis: With quarterback Kellen Moore looking throughout the receiving corps for targets, Burroughs and Miller are starting to get more looks. They both should continue to have their moments this season.
News: Boise State released their depth chart for the season opener against Georgia and there is one surprise. Matt Miller and Geraldo Boldewijn were listed as co-starters at the X receiver. Not surprisingly, Tyler Shoemaker (H) and Mitch Burroughs (Z) were listed the other starters.
Analysis: It is not time to panic just yet, but Boldewijn not securing a starting spot outright is a concern. Burroughs, however, is a guy to grab if you're thin at receiver. If Boldewijn is a fantasy bust, Burroughs looks like the next best choice.
News: Burroughs is recovering from a high ankle sprain and could miss several games, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Burroughs isn't a top wideout for the Broncos, but he's the main punt returner, averaging 11 yards per return with two long returns called back because of penalties. Titus Young or Austin Pettis will likely take over punt return duties in the near term.
