Houston's Jones Steps In, Throws Three TDs Against SMU

News: Crawford Jones passes for 180 yards on 17-of-33 passing with three touchdowns and two interceptions at SMU on Thursday.
Analysis: He came on in relief of backup Bram Kohlhausen, who threw two picks, after he came on in relief of starting QB David Piland, who left with a concussion. For now expect Crawford Jones to start against UTEP this coming week, given how poorly Kohlhausen played in his two series. It wouldn't be inconceivable to see Jones hang on to the job for a few more weeks, seeing as how Piland was erratic, even before his injury.
