News:Billy Ray Stutzmann caught a team-high four balls for 57 yards in a blowout loss to Fresno State on Saturday.
Analysis: Until Hawaii can score more points, Billy Ray Stutzmann is not worth owning.
Hawaii's Stutzmann Leads Team in Receiving Versus SDSU
News:Billy Ray Stutzmann hauled in six catches for 36 yards in a blowout loss to San Diego State on Saturday.
Analysis: Hawaii has an atrocious offense, rendering Billy Ray Stutzmann not worthy of being owned. Look elsewhere for production at the wide-receiver position.
Hawaii's Stutzmann Returns and Records Four Catches
News:Billy Ray Stutzmann (hand) caught a team-high four balls for 65 yards in a 47-0 loss to BYU on Friday night.
Analysis:Billy Ray Stutzmann made his first start since having hand surgery a few weeks ago. It was encouraging to see him record four catches and emerge as the lead receiver, but Hawaii still has a lackluster offense. Stutzmann has minimal value in a MWC-only league if he continues to lead the team in catches.
News:Billy Ray Stutzmann (hand) is hoping he can return to the field when the Warriors play BYU on Friday night, reports Honolulu Star Advertiser.
Analysis: Considering Billy Ray Stutzmann had surgery involving eight screws and a metal plate being inserted into his hand, it's unbelievable he might be able to play this weekend. The initial prognosis was out six weeks, but it's only been 18 days. If Stutzmann is healthy and plays, he is one of the best receivers on this Warriors team. Keep an eye on his status throughout the week for any changes.
News:Billy Ray Stutzmann has been dealing with an injured hand but is expected to play for Hawaii Saturday as the Warriors take on Nevada, USA Today reports.
Analysis: Stutzman's return to the fold for the Warriors Saturday would be a welcome sign, as the junior last year grabbed 78 catches for 910 yards and four touchdowns. The Honolulu native did play in the first game of the season against USC before breaking his hand in practice, posting three receptions for 49 yards.
News: Stuzmann (hand) will miss about six weeks after breaking his hand at practice on Wednesday, the Star Advertiser reports.
Analysis: Stuzmann grabbed three passes for 49 yards in a loss to USC on Saturday and was the team's most versatile receiver. Sophomore wideout Trevor Davis is expected to take his place.
News: As noted earlier, Hawaii left wideout Darius Bright sat out practice Tuesday for personal reasons, but was back on the field Wednesday. Slotbacks Jeremiah Ostrowski and Billy Ray Stutzmann both sat out practice Wednesday because of foot injuries. Wednesday's starting lineup consisted of left wideout Allen Sampson, left slotback Scott Harding, right slotback Justin Clapp and right wideout Royce Pollard.
Analysis: At this point it is becoming too risky to start any of Hawaii's receivers until they can get their passing game untracked. But if you're looking to gamble, Pollard and Clapp would the best bets this week against UC Davis.
News: Hawaii had a disappointing game against UNLV, but Billy Ray Stutzmann was a bright spot, catching 9 balls for 136 yards to lead all Hawaii receivers.
Analysis: Stutzmann more than doubled his season average in catches and yards in this game. The inconsistency of the Hawaii receivers has been very frustrating. Unless you are in a deep PPR league, you can't count on Stutzmann to put up usable points on a weekly basis.
News: Stephen Tsai of the Warrior Beat reports that wideout Darius Bright had his "best practice of the year" on Friday.
Analysis: Bright, Royce Pollard and even Billy Ray Stutzmann are good starts today against UNLV's porous pass defense.
News: Hawaii wide receiver Jeremiah Ostrowski(foot) is still sitting out of practice and will most likely miss this week's game against UNLV.
Analysis: Ostrowski is at best a game time decision. If you have to turn your roster in earlier, you are best to avoid him this week and not take the very high risk of him not playing. Royce Pollard, Billy Ray Stutzmann, and Darius Bright all have an increased value this week if Ostrowski doesn't play.
News: Hawaii receiver Jeremiah Ostrowski was still in a walking boot as of Tuesday. His status for this week's game against UNLV is unknown.
Analysis: UNLV is ranked dead last in pass efficiency defense in the FBS. Royce Pollard, Darius Bright and Billy Ray Stutzmann are good starts this week, while Ostrowski remains an injury risk. There is talk that Terrance Bell will get the start if Ostrowski cannot play.
News: Hawaii released their official depth chart on Thursday and, as expected, Darius Bright (LWO), Billy Ray Stutzmann (LSB), Jeremiah Ostrowski (RSB), and Royce Pollard (RWO) sit a top the four starting receiver positions.
Analysis: All four are worthy draft day selections, with Pollard and Bright having the most upside. There has been no further word on the injuries that have nagged the four, we assume everyone is healthy.
News: Hawaii receivers Darius Bright (turf toe), Billy Ray Stutzmann (hamstring) and Jeremiah Ostrowski (hamstring) all participated in non-contact drills on Monday.
Analysis: The big test of the trio's health is coming up on Thursday when the Warriors will hold their first scrimmage.
News: As we noted over the weekend, several Hawaii receivers have been MIA from practice recently. Darius Bright (turf toe) and Billy Ray Stutzmann (hamstring) are expected back at practice today. While Jeremiah Ostrowski (hamstring) is expected back later this week.
Analysis: Hawaii has a scrimmage scheduled for Thursday, if all three can participate, fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief.
News: Hawaii's football training camp begins Wednesday, and the top priority for the Warriors is replacing the starters lost from the offensive line and wide receivers. Wide receivers Darius Bright, Billy Ray Stutzmann, and Jeremiah Ostrowski will get the first shot to replace last year's great playmakers.
Analysis: ![CDATA[Hopefully training camp will shed more light on who will have the starting WR jobs. This is a system that has proven that it can produce fantasy studs at the position, so all three have potential for huge returns.

Analysis: This is Stutzmann's second good game in a row, so maybe it is time to at least keep an eye on him.
News: Stutzmann caught two passes for 28 yards and a score against Charleston Southern Saturday.
Analysis: Even in Hawaii's great passing offense, he's probably not worth owning.
